I can't really say I am either. I don't think it will be outright terrible, since Rob Zombie is getting better as a director. But it just won't be the original. And if it comes out now, we know there's going to be some elements of the film directly pandering to "New Millennium" horror audiences, so it by law won't be great. All we can hope for is: mildly amusing.

Yeah i agree with everything you said Laz. I really think Zombie has great potential as a horror director, but using those talents to remake yet another horror classic is not putting his abilities to good use. I mean Halloween is just one of those movies that nobody's gonna be able to improve on. It's fine just the way it is. Leave it alone.

well i wanna see it just because i liked zombie's other movies..i mean if while you are watching it you compare it to the original you may not like it..when i watch it im just gonna go into it expecting a rob zombie type movie..im not expecting it to be on the level of the original halloween..although i think it should be better then alot of other remakes.

Me neither, I just saw the commercial..
Rob Zombie is as bad at making movies as he is music.

You didn't like House of 1K Corpses or TDR biscuit? I thought they were great.

While I definitely don't think it will be as good as the original, I think it will be Zombie's best film to date. With each movie, he gets better, gains a more unique style. He knows his 70's style horror, he knows what he's doing, and he won't do anything like put Tyra Banks or Busta Rhymes in it like "Resurrection". I mean, so far he's got a great cast for the movie. Malcom McDowell was a fantastic choice to play Dr. Sam Loomis. Also, he didn't choose to put in some random bimbo to play Laurie. Like Jamie Lee Curtis did in the original film, she looks and acts like a normal teenage girl. Of course, I'm just judging all this from the various trailers that have been released, but you get my point.

You didn't like House of 1K Corpses or TDR biscuit? I thought they were great. I liked House of 1000 Corpses when I was in highschool, but after a couple times watching it I didn't really like it anymore. I really can't stand Rob Zombie's wife, she has such an annoying laugh. As for the devil's rejects I turned it off halfway through after he told the guy he can still smell his wife's ____ on his gun. Who knows though, he might come out with a movie I really like one day. I just wanted to make a joke about him. I use to like white zombie and his solo stuff though, but that was even before highschool.

I haven't seen Devil's Rejects yet. But I thought House of 1,000 Corpses was pretty bad. Visually, it was pretty good. But the writing and most of the acting was complete garbage. The music was okay but the ending was one of the worst I've ever seen in any horror movie.
But as far as music goes, Rob Zombie / White Zombie are/were excellent.

I'd recommend The Devil's Rejects, Lazario. That is, if you're into 70's-style, gritty horror, like the original Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

I'm into every kind of horror style. As long as it's good.

Then I'd give TDR a try. It's a lot better than House of 1000 Corpses, especially the ending, which manages to be both epic and strangely depressing.

But it's pretty much a wash as I like them both quite a bit. The first time I saw TDR I was a little bit let down, but that's because I was expecting it to be the same movie as House. After seeing it a second time though I felt much better about it because I was aware that it was of a different tone and perspective than the first movie.

I really can't stand Rob Zombie's wife, she has such an annoying laugh. Oh man I love her laugh! Message to Mr. Zombie: If you ever tire of Sheri Moon, send her my way!
