I don't need "good reasons" to like or a hate a movie. It's a matter of opinion and that's IT.
People think the mona lisa is such a great work of art, but it's just an ugly chick.

Honestly, to find this movie entertaining, you would have to have no taste, no standards, and be seriously drunk or high during the viewing. It was that bad. why do you keep bringing that up??? i have taste standards and i wasnt drunk or high and i liked it..just because you have your opinion on the movie doesnt mean you are right and the rest of us have no standards or taste in movies..tell me some movies you thought wre good and i bet i will find soem i hated and i could say the same thing about you. I completely agree tsmooth. Taste, standards, etc. are going to vary from person to person. Just because one person feels a certain way about a movie does not make it so. To think otherwise is quite ignorant and unaccepting.

The overall point is you can't force someone to hate something just because you don't think it has any entertainment or artistic value. I could film myself taking a crap into a bucket of milk and I'm sure someone would find it artistic or entertaining.. even if it is CRAP.

I'm not focusing on Overall Points. If we did that, no one would ever be allowed to make any personal observations at all. Meaning, you wouldn't be allowed to say anything that wasn't just repeating "The Overall Point." And that is, ironically, utterly pointless.

What you are doing is not STATING an opinion but FORCING one while completely disregarding the opinions of others. I'm sorry but there's a difference between a debate and one-sided bashing of a movie and the people who enjoy it.

Actually, my opinion was very elaborate and covered several different areas. Therefore, it was more than "an opinion." It was more like several opinions.
But yeah... I guess you could say I was bashing people. I didn't mean any harm though. I just can't understand how it's actually a matter of taste and not just low standards. I mean, just because you guys keep saying it is...I don't buy it.

Like your opinion means more than everyone else's. Maybe you don't mean to sound like that, since it's not really easy to see when someone's just messing around or being sarcastic. You just go into paragraph rants on why WE shouldn't like a movie instead of a few statements on why YOU did not like it.

A-ha! See, that's where you're wrong. I actually wasn't going on about why you shouldn't like it. I'm going on about why it was bad. Because, it is bad. Really bad. But worse than that, like I said: it lacks all charm. It's not unique enough. Well... I guess it's uniquely bad in a way. But it's not hard to make a movie that bad. Just don't try at all. I hate seeing movies get praise when it's clear that nobody but the Tech Crew was actually trying to make something good.

But I still think people misunderstand your opinions for a list of reasons why liking this movie means they have low standards.

Which is why you're the only person still talking on this topic.
I would never try to say I'm better than anyone. Just that I pay very close attention. Without having to try very hard.

But when you totally picking apart a movie, just because you can't understand that someone likes the movie that's how you're going to come off.

I'm picking apart the movie because it sucks. It's a common practice I perform when I'm talking about a movie. I do it all the time. Nothing new or even subversive about that. I'm trying to be accurate. Whether people want that or not, it's what I do. If I didn't do, I wouldn't be me. I'd be someone else.
