You're more in the loop than you give yourself credit for my friend! Lol, stop you're flattering me with all these compliments I feel like your new Lazario xD (Plus, you've got to buy me a drink first anyways) But thank you, I like revenge flicks so like I said, after this horror filled weekend I'll probably get around to renting it (DVDs rented from my library cost me $1 for like 2 weeks) A gunner who doesn't use 1 liners? NO WAY! Now I want it more

if you are gonna stock up on horror i would get the 50 movie pack chilling classics..it has alot of good/entertaining horror movies..and 50 moives for like 15$..you cant beat that..i have seen about have so far and am having a great time..
i also just rented and watched the new low budget zombie movie dead clowns..pretty weird movie..i cant eve nreally explain it..very slow moving..hardly any dialog at all..even when a character got attacked you heard music but they like muted out the character..they call the zombies clowns but basiaclly they looked like the zombies from lucio fulci's zombi except they were dressed like clowns..they came out of the water, killed every character in the movie and it ended haha..not a bad movie but kinda weird
and lastly i got 2 more masters of horror episodes, imprint which is supposed to be very disturbing..not that i really get disturbed in movies but its supposed to have a sick torture scene or 2..and the screwfly solution..havent watched any yet..ill post when i do

I've always meant to acquire that collection. I'll have to get around to it someday.
Anyways, last movie I chose to partake in was a lil' gem known as Trog. Full details can be found over in the MST3K section. ;D

Yeah, I read your post in the MST3K section. It sounds laughably bad, I'll get it when I get a chance I would get the 50 horror movies collection but what I mean by stocking up on horror is that I wanna go rent a ton of horror movies that I need to see or see again. It's come to my attention that I need a little catch-up in the horror movies department as well as a refresher for many movies I've already seen, so I'm probably going to get a few classics and watch them to educate myself a little more. I'd get the 50 if I just wanted horror films, but I'm doing this so I can see many of the movies talked about on this board Good choice on the Masters of Horror DVDs, I still think I can watch for free with Showtime On Demand though

rewatched Wishmaster today - even worse than I remembered it. How could the filmmakers, including Peter Atkins of Hellraiser / Hellrasier II fame and the KNB Effects group, be so completely clueless?

Just watched the Quick and the Undead. If any of you haven't seen it yet, consider yourselves very lucky.
It's one of those films that probably looked good on paper or in someone's mind. I'll admit I was intrigued by the idea of a spaghetti western-post appocalyptic-zombie hybrid, but the execution fails on every level. Avoid it at all costs.

watched Wes Craven presents Don't Look Down (1998). It was a made for TV movie, so it naturally wasn't a masterpiece. And the ending was outright horrible. Not to mention it has the most cliched music I think I've ever heard. But, it had some interesting moments along the way. More of a drama-thriller than a horror film. I've seen much worse.

Sister 1, her Husband, and Sister 2 go for a photo-taking Sight Seeing trip, Sister 2 dies by falling over cliff and Sister 1 develops Acrophobia (fear of heights). To cure her fear, she joins experimental aggressive therapy group, then one-by-one the group members start to die and police find pieces of Sister 2's scarf at each's death site. Sister 1 thinks it's the ghost of Sister 2 come back to get revenge on Sister 1 for not saving her, Husband & Police think the group members are being murdered. Husband thinks it's the Leader of the group, Police think it's Sister 1.

Jeff Lieberman's comeback horror film, Satan's Little Helper (2005) - I think this one's going to take a little getting used to. But it definitely had it's moments. It took me awhile to warm-up to the High-Definition photography but... it did sort-of enhance the small-town during Halloween feel to the movie in some places. Lieberman's sort of been out of practice in horror since the '70s and the film definitely lacks a certain tightness in editing and a stylistic finesse. Other minor complaints include- the music score didn't feel right, the acting was way off (Amanda Plummer was completely underused), and the writing floundered a bit (a sub-plot about a young man's abusive family is brought up for no other reason than for a silly red-herring). But the ideas were still good and frequently, scenes would get better as they played through. As I said, my opinion might change the more I see the movie.

^^^^i saw this movie for the first time last year and my initial reaction was "Ehh, of all the horror movies i've seen, this was definitely ONE of them..............". But i've seen it once since then and it was better the second time around. so, yeah, you might just wanna give it another watch Laz. it's one of those "acquired taste" movies.

Unlike Lieberman's Blue Sunshine, which was amazing and I loved right away. But I especially liked the scenes in SLH of the town being looted and ransacked because all the cops had been murdered. But the music completely killed the otherwise amusing scene with the shopping cart rampage.
