I tried to love that scene. But the music was too Lifetime thriller-Movie to really go along with it. Much too dramatic. I was hoping for something a little more sardonic or dark.

i can see where you're coming from with that. After another watch or two it might not bother you as much.

Agreed. I think that's what the writer/director wanted to do. Give "Satan" the edge over his intended victims.

Are you sure? Because I didn't sense any element of oppression among the family unit. Which I think there sort of has to be for it to work. And the sister and her boyfriend were included in the clueless-family unit. Besides, if you really watch the movie close, you'll see it's kind of one of those movies where the kid(s) know(s) more than the adults do. Or, where the audience knows everything before the families / adults find out.

I was more or less referring to how clueless they all are about assuming that Satan was actually Jenna's boyfriend.
Valid points though!

Oh, now I get what you mean.
She was crazy enough to just stand there and not start screaming or running out of the house or whatever. But they should have been smart enough to know when she's not kidding around.

Disturbia, my friend rented it. It was alright as a movie, they should have just left out the killing and it would've been like the OC or something. It sucked as a horror movie and therefore sucked as a remake.

Is it worth renting someday Miss Canady? Yeah it's definitely a good rental movie. Just not a "Keep Going Back To The Theater At 8.50 A Pop" kind of movie.

Why would you ever feel guilty about "stealing" from rich Jews?

Not me me neither -- The last movie I saw was this British movie called Freak Out. It's an alright comedy for horror fans, not too great but it has it's moments.
