Just finished "You, Me, and Dupree" shown on HBO. I wanted to check it out as you've got Owen Wilson, Matt Dillon, Kate Hudson, and Michael Douglas all in the same movie and I'm big fans of all the before mentioned actors/actress.
It was watchable, and had a few funny moments, but overall nothing special. If you're bored and see it on television feel free to check it out, but I wouldn't recommend running out to rent or own it anytime soon....................Could/Should have been better with the talent that was assembled.

High Plains Drifter - 70's Clint Eastwood western yarn about revenge. Not bad, but as a big Eastwood fan I've seen much better.

Just watched Death Wish 3 again. It's not as good as Death Wish, but I enjoy watching it more. It's a complete disaster of a film from start to finish, but highly entertaining.

hey dave i just got done with slither...i prety much agree with what you had to say..had some pretty cool gore scenes and the comedy actually worked..im usually not to big on horror comedies as i usually dont find them funny..this was one of the few that i actually got a few laughs out of..didnt care to much for the ending..it just seemed to end like so many other monster movies..overall tho it was a fun watch..thanx again for the link
also i was wondering since you seem to know about all the torrents do you think you could find me a link to the movie brutal?? not sure if you are familiar with the movie...it came out a week or 2 ago..it stars jeffery combs..if you think you could find it easy that would be cool..if not dont worry about it

Glad to hear you enjoyed Slither as much as I did. I feel the same way when it comes to horror/comedies, but yeah, this one really delivered! I agree that the ending was a little bit anti-climactic, but overall I thought it was really well done. As for Brutal...............I heard about it too and it's on my list of movies to check out. I haven't bothered to look for any torrents to download as of yet, but I'll try to remember to do some searching in the next couple of days or so. It might be hard to find one right now that's decent quality (as the movie is still pretty new and not mainstream), but if I come across one that's up to par I'll be sure to let you know!

Just caught The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (original of course) on the Fuse channel of all places. Probably the 25th+ time I've seen it and everytime I do I like it even more than the last time! It also reminded me that they just don't make 'em like they used to anymore....................Wake up Hollywood! lol

CGI and Remakes killed the American Horror Film.

Just downloaded the first season of the HBO series Deadwood. Currently I'm on episode 7 I think. I was really mad they decided to not to make a 4th season of this series as it' my favorite of HBO's originals to date.

I remember Deadwood when it was running on HBO Was a good show from the little I caught from it. Hmm, I remember Carnivale too, but I never really saw it. Was it good? I can get it on demand and such still This actually gives me a good idea... I saw You,Me and Dupree too, wasn't that great but it does have its moments. The last movie I saw was Harry Potter 5 I guess rofl I saw it last weekend, I guess I haven't seen any movies on TV or anything since, I really need to watch more I agree Remakes killed Horror and they still do, ESPECIALLY now But it's not just Horror either. Tons and tons of bad sequels also kill it, but I don't think CGI kills it unless they do it RIGHT. So let's put it this way: Remakes,Ridiculous Sequels and Bad CGI ruined the American Horror Film. And wtf is Death Wish?

Death Wish = Charles Bronson flick from 70's where he plays A New York City architect who becomes a one-man vigilante squad after his wife is murdered by street punks in which he randomly goes out and kills would-be muggers on the mean streets after dark.

Oh, sounds cool. Doesn't sound like horror though but definitely worth at least a rental. Lol an architect of all people, does he make blueprints of how to kill them? Why does that remind me of The Crow so much?

It's not too bad, but no it's definitely not really a horror movie. Check it out someday if you have nothing better to do.

And wtf is Death Wish? Probably the best revenge flick ever made. There are 4 sequels. All of them are worth checking out if you like Charles Bronson. The cool thing about the character Paul Kersey, is that he doesn't spit out one-liners right and left. He's too busy blowing people away. Dirty Harry talks the bad guy to death; Paul Kersey lets a browning machine gun or a grenade launcher do the talking for him. ;D
