Farmhouse- liked this one alot, i thought it was just gonna be another torture movie like timberfalls, but it ended up being much more, actually made you think a bit after the movie was over and had some originality to it, plus it was well made and acted, and it had a pretty tough scene to watch that involved a woman taking a cheese grater to another womans knee 8.5/10

Re-watched this one back from my old TNT Monstervision days: And I can't say it's as good as everyone said it was. Or even close. I kept having to say to myself- if it's supposed to be comedy, it works. I suppose the best scene hands-down, whether it's a comedy or not, is the scene where the possessed Vicki decides to kill her best friend, so she takes off all her clothes first (what?!) - yes, the bizarreness of that decision (by her character AND the filmmakers) and the fact that it's rather surreal for this kind of movie to have a scene like this when so many others wouldn't have bothered, is what makes the scene stand out. The locker scene is justifiably famous. It's the best scene in the movie. Oh, and, if you haven't seen the movie... The Rocking Horse is fucking SCARY!!! Unfortunately for the rest of the film, it's just not inspired or very effective for me. I mean, if her change is supposed to be a comment on, for instance, how great it is to be free of religious borders or how she was somehow repressed before but now can live-it-up... The scenes of her cutting loose are not very interesting. If it's a comedy, man- they should realize that Michael Ironside is too intense and serious. It's just a female version of Freddy Krueger. In a way. And the in-references to other horror films (Poltergeist, Carrie, The Exorcist, etc.) and film directors (Frank Henenlotter - Basket Case, Craven, Carpenter, Romero, Tod Browning - Dracula, Dan O'Bannon - Return of the Living Dead, etc.) isn't enough to make the movie any more amusing. I can't help feeling that all the people crying out that this was a great flick were backing the wrong horse. Somehow.

My Bloody Valentine 3D- Pretty awesome. The music was creepy, the red herrings and gore were plentiful, and the acting was very decent. 8/10

prayers for bobby- new lifetime movie starring sigourney weaver, she played a mom and her son was gay but she refused to believe and accept it and it eventually led to him killing himself, very good movie, the acting was great and it was a pretty touching story, he just wanted his mom to love him the way he was and she refused to have a gay son, it was all based on a true story too, i will deff pick this one up if it ever gets a dvd release

Unknown (2006) - A great premise that just fell flat. The acting was very good but the plot was not very in-depth. Reminds me of "The Usual Suspects" and "Memento" combined. 7/10

All The Boys Love Mandy Lane - a piece of crap movie, one of the worst slashers i have ever seen That's a slasher movie? Who's the killer? I thought it was about like a girl that made guys go insane and start like butchering themselves or something... That would be too Asian horror, wouldn't it? Speaking of which... Yet another masterpiece from the greatest continent making movies today. Heads-up, though - it's not a horror film. It's a detective thriller / mystery with a couple of really hardcore scenes. One is the Elevator Scene, which if you have a brain as a horror fan- you will stand up and CHEER FOR when it's moment of horror erupts. It's just about the only actual horror scene in the movie... actually there's one more, which is a really good dream sequence. The 2nd is a very painful murder that lasts much longer than the viewer would expect and is really disturbing to sit through when thinking about how you could die that way yourself! It's mostly a really intelligent cop movie and a FUCKING BEAUTIFUL drama. A completely attractive movie all over. The music is a little weird though. A lot of American / English-speaking music is used in the movie - Placebo, Enya, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and you see a poster for Puff Daddy / Sean Combs newest album (at the time - 1999's Forever). And that feels a little phony.

well i guess ill spoil it for you, all the guys are crazy over mandy lane, there is this guy that i guess is her friend, they dont really go into detail, one night at a party he is on the roof with this guy and he tells the guy to jump off the roof to impress mandy, the guy misses the pool smacks his head and dies,... fast forward 3 years later, some guys dad has a ranch, he, mandy and 4 others go to it to spend the weekend, after all the guys try to get with mandy and we are treated to a bunch of dumb sex jokes and sex talk the guy from the begining that was friends with mandy shows up and starts killing everyone, at the end we find out mandy i guess just used him to kill everyone because she too is crazy and ends up killing the killer then end, horrible movie, filled with dumb annpying sex crazed characters, a stupid cliche plot and a stupid cliche ending, and to think i actually saw good revies from some horror sites for this....
anyway i saw The Entity last night, about a supernatural force that attacks and rapes a woman, it was actually very good, it had a few scary, disturbing scenes mainly because being raped and attacked my an unseen force is a scary thought, and they say it is all based on a true story, im not a big fan of the supernatural haunting type movies, but this was a very good one

I thought that was Europe, Laz???
Weird Science- Breakfast Club, Schmeckfast Club. This is Hughes true masterpiece. The acting is all solid(especially Bill Paxton as Chet) and the story is simple enough and quite enjoyable. It just makes all these teen movies today look like shit. "Nuff said. 8/10

Breakfast Club is well-written but hollow. You like it if you love 80's movies regardless of their flaws (like Rain Man, Ferris Bueller, etc). And I like it. As for me, I rewatched...something. Can't remember what it was. Also saw: I really did expect it to be better. It was trying to be like Meet the Parents without the gross-out humor. Or...without any humor, at all. His family is, mostly, stupid and pretentious. And so annoying. His girlfriend is close to being sedated. His daughters are cliches. And he is so uptight and overprotective, I swear he makes Danny Tanner look irresponsible as a Dad!

An American Carol - probably the best parody since the Naked Gun movies, if you like parody comedy.(The "Rosie" actress does really well). 7 1/2 /10
