how was it not, you cant tell me you saw it coming, and if u did its only because me and a few others on the board said how great the twist was, it was a very smart movie, which is why many have tried to copy it

how was it not, you cant tell me you saw it coming Well remember that I saw part 2 first. Now THAT was a good twist. The entire film was based on that time clock! In Saw, there was just a body on the floor. It had nothing to do with anything at all. Absolutely nothing. No I didn't see it coming, but I was not surprised when I saw him get up. Just because the body was holding a gun doesn't mean anything. In fact, the only reason I didn't predict it was because I was concentrating on how stupid every thing everyone was saying was. Then - what did he do anyway? All he did was get up and shut the door. Wow, how intense! He wanted to be in that room so he could stand up and shut a door. it was a very smart movie What was smart about it? Every thing everyone in that movie said was fucking stupid. The movie looked like shit. And it ripped off Se7en, Deep Red, and Silence of the Lambs. How is that smart? Explain to me what's smart about that movie.

ya it was intense, had they known he wa alive they could have bashed his head in, killed him, escaped and ended the saw franchise at 1!!!!!!!!!, but they didnt, it was a great ending, AMAZING, but you are entitles to your own opinion
and that is what was smart about it

laz 'saw' saw 2 first so he already knew the twist. he knew who the killer was, so his vote doesn't count on that.

T, you watched him saw his foot off. How fast did he move after that? How much energy did he have after that?

It's Mary Harron of American Psycho, she actually knows how to make a piece of filmmaking with interesting characters. Which would be a huge change from the first 5 episodes (that aren't Family Man).

well that was EASILY my fav episode, pretty much blew all the others away even if it did leave some loose ends and some unanswered questions and rip off a few lifetime movies

Well... that was certainly something. Damn! I don't know what to say. It was like everything I could have hoped it would be, and, nothing I would have really wanted to see at the exact same time.
This episode represents both the good and bad of this entire series. It was predictable, incredibly so. That's bad. But it was very smart. That's good. The time table thing, all the [Fill in the Blank] Days/Weeks Later stuff, removed all the tension that the seconds before it came up would have. That's bad. It was very stylishly shot, though. Especially that amazing sequence in the snow with all the neighbors together. That's good. But most of the lead actors are just...awful. That's bad. She wasn't the worse of the two. Her performance was right in place with what the episode was all about. But he was just... He was flat. He's a bad actor, that's for sure. Completely made of wood. The music was okay. We got a lot of obvious cues telling us something bad is going on. That's bad. But also, some of the music was very cool, very detached, indifferent. That's good.
I guess in the end, all that can be said is that it's at least as good as Family Man (which is a very good thing), but no better. Which is not good. I give Family Man the edge as the better episode, but still...
We'll see what happens next week.

i just watched community. i kind of liked it but it wasn't my fave. i didn't buy into the wife's drastic change of character in the last 5 or so minutes. also, they should have just hired a good lawyer, but i guess then it couldn't have been wrapped up in 40 min. also at the end when he was being driven back to the community, i think the normal reaction at that point would have been to try and kill the guy.. like gouge his eyes out or something.

well i wouldnt really call it a drastic change in character, she was pretty fucked up the whole time, i mean as soon as she found out they they were forced to have a kid in 6 months any normal person would have been like WTF lets get the hell outta here, but she still wanted to stay even after that, she just never seemed normal to me, i was more surprised at his lawyer friend

Excellent summary, T. But Shunty was very right about the ending as well. Which is why my #1 complaint with this was Brandon Routh. He was this wooden on Mtv's Undressed when he was on that show. I guess he hasn't learned much about acting since then.

well yea i somewhat agree about the ending, i mean it did seem a little dumb that he was just at the back of the car screaming, but at the same time you have to remember that it was still his wife and best friend, or one of his best friends in the car with him, even tho they completely pulled a 180 on him and went against him it would still be hard to kill or even injure them, which is why i didnt have a huge problem with it
