Let me be the first to say... I was QUITE surprised by "Family Man." It wasn't great. But it was much better than the first 2 episodes. And I'm surprised that I was wrong about the entire premise. I expected big gun shoot-outs, one of them to run around speaking "one liners" and more of the kind of talk like they started to do in the scene where the guy talked about being with the other guy's wife. I'm glad they didn't go into details, any more and that would have been too cheap.
And the scene with the daughter as the Bumblebee... was COOL! The best horror moment in terms of style of this series... and the 2nd season of Masters of Horror.

"Nightmare in Lace," John Landis ("An American Werewolf in London") will direct an episode written by Victor Salva ("Jeepers Creepers"). On her wedding day, a beautiful bride receives a mysterious note that reads: "The person you are marrying is a serial killer."
nah its this one, sounds like and looked like from the previews it could be pretty good

Just watched "Family Man" and, I must say, it was very similar to "Face Off", just like we thought it would be. That being said, if "Face Off" had been done half this well, it would have been a kick ass film... This delved into the human element of what it would be to lose ones self, not the action element. Got a little cheesy near the end, but, all in all, well done... Not brilliant, but passable...

I don't know what part you thought was cheesy, but after about 4 minutes, it started getting a little cliched and predictable. But it was good overall because of Craig Ferguson's character, the killer in the family man's body/life. I think showing the regular guy in the criminal's life came to less. But it was still so much better made than the first two episodes.
We'll have to cross our fingers for tonight's episodes. John Landis's Masters of Horror (only the '05 series) track record was consistently less than stellar.

If you do some research into movies, you will buy a lot less stinkers. PERIOD. I have no problem with anyone's habits on this board but.... DO NOT BE SCARED TO BUY SHIT AND QUIT DOWNLOADING EVERYTHING!!!! A MIX CD is fine now and then but don't be so cheap as to not support your economy.
P.S.= Don't give me this shit about the music companies that make all this money off of the back's of hard-working musicians. Perhaps they make more than they are supposed to but that doesn't give you the right to burn whole CD's/Movies for free. Contribute like any other normal citizen.
I have no problem with mix CD's but burning whole albums.... petty, just petty.
If it was up to me, stores would give you options and burn CD's for you at an appropriate cost.

hmmm thatwas a pretty slow and boring episode, felt more like a bad lifetime movie
i also saw the twist from a mile away because of 2 things, #1 the priest couldnt hear and #2 the note said person and not the man, so i had a feeling the whole time it was gonna be the girl that was the killer, are we ever gonna get a good orginal episode!!??
the worst thing about that tho was the husbands nose, holy shit was that thing huge, they shoulda just made his nose rip off his face and be the serial killer

Haven't watched the new episode yet, but just wanted to put out a sidebar to Mal. I feel like the music has a preview process (even if it's not great) in radio. You can hear an excerpt from an album that stands alone. In film, there is no such process, you are expected to plunk down your hard earned money based on an incongruent series of clips. I don't think this is fair. When I download a film, and watch it, I have two courses of action that I can (and do) follow. If the movie was bad, I delete it from my hard drive and never think of it again. It didn't deserve my money. If the movie was good, I immediately delete it from my hard drive and I go out and buy it. It is worth my money. It's just that there are very few industries in the world that expect you to pay for a product sight unseen, untested. It is one industry that you have no recourse from. I believe the movie industry needs to be held up to a standard. If they don't meet that standard, then you don't get my money.

how much you wanna bet laz will claim i hate guys with huge fucking hideous noses and he knows some big nosed guys who are gonna come kick my ass You are shit, T. You never were a human being, just a pile of shit. When are you going to kill yourself already and do the whole world a huge favor? You serve no purpose whatsoever. SPOILERSThe episode was... amusing, I guess. I'm kind of in shock and don't know what to think. The plot sucked, that's for sure. The acting was not very good. I couldn't decide who I disliked more - the bride, or everyone else combined. Oh, and as for the twist - guess what? As soon as she opened the note, I said - "I'll bet SHE'S the serial killer and the note was supposed to go to him." The reason why I guessed this? Because of her. Look at her. She's not the most delicate, lilting kind of gal out there. And the husband to be is played as a dolting, selfless, ultra-sweet type. If we met him before she opened the note, then we might have been able to believe he could be the killer. But anyway, I didn't say the episode itself sucked. And here's why - they did quite a good job at distracting us from thinking about her. Other than the fact that she's made of cardboard, everybody in the episode seems to be trying to drive her insane. Kind of like Let's Scare Jessica to Death. Her friends won't leave her alone, she has to repeat everything to the deaf Priest who is a creepy old guy, the Best-Man is a peeping-tom, the freaky Twin Uncle-in-Laws (played by the guy who was the killer in... Twins, that movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger), the "mysterious" red-scarf woman, the idiotic groom, and people keep mentioning I think the brother of the groom. Or her brother. One or the other. Basically, it got better "after" the ceremony and the friends' chat. When they turned off all the lights, and she's walking around and the camera keeps jumping off to those crucifixions of Jesus and every other Saint there ever was. The way the camera shot the shadows covering everything and the limited light pouring in from the windows or coming off the candles. That was good. Too bad that lead to another scene with the Bride talking for a long period of time. They so hired her for the killer-twist and not to be the scared Bride type. So, if she's not acting like a killer, she's wasting our time. But there's a lot of dark scenes. And the groom finally turns into a believable psycho. I had to believe he was the killer, they shot the "scarf woman's" apartment like there was another-woman into voodoo and vivisectioning. Long story short, better than Spooked and The Sacrifice (on most levels). But not as good as Family Man.

HAHA this coming from a fat fag??? I'm not overweight, moron. I have told you at least 4 times in the past 2 days. God you really are retarded. I thought it was just your upbringing. It's time you were whisked away to a physical care center for the mentally handicapped. Get you started on your therapy, maybe one decade you'll be ready to re-enter society. how ironic is that, isnt this the same guy that just told me i cant hate or make any threats??? How ironic indeed. I attack you because you attacked me first. What a strange world this is.

once a fatty always a fatty
and i never attacked you i just said roseanne was fat and ugly and you went on a little pissy rampage, i will never personall call you out unless you do it first, so if i call you a fag or something i have reason to, and that reason is because you called me out first

once a fatty always a fatty That doesn't mean anything. Unless you're trying to talk about genes and genetics. And what I did was simply correct you. For a rampage to happen, there has to be some kind of damage to human life or for which there accrues some form of financial liability - property damage.
