There are a lot of special effects artists you didn't mention.
Rick Baker (American Werewolf in London, It's Alive, Thriller, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, Squirm, Videodrome) Rob Bottin (The Howling, Piranha, The Fog) Kevin Yagher (Child's Play, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, Bride of Chucky) John Carl Buechler (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood, Troll, Re-Animator, Dolls) Chris Walas (Gremlins, Cronenberg's The Fly, Arachnophobia, Humanoids from the Deep) Dick Smith (The Exorcist, Scanners, The Stepford Wives, The Hunger, Altered States)

All of them have done great work and are great artists but I don't think that they do 30+ movies a year like KNB.Quality not quantity, for sure but every other movie I watch pretty much says "KNB".

I love Buechler's work. If anybody doubts his greatness, go watch last year's "Hatchet". That head-ripping scene alone earns him a spot among the best.

AND I think he's still working. A lot of these other guys don't do effects anymore. They just sort of own a business and have other people create for them.
