I don't know if LaVey intended it to turn out that way, but calling it Satanism was just begging for some people to adopt it out of rebellion and shock value, and for just about everyone else to misunderstand, and fear it.

One issue I've always with any and all forms of Satanism, is why they chose to adopt something so crucial to their system of beliefs that is rooted in Christianity. Doesn't make sense to me-----somewhat short-sighted and arguably hypocritical. But hey, it's a form of organized religion, why should I expect anything else, lol? ;D

good book and a good movie...mal if you like the book i would recommend The Indiana Torture Slaying..im reading it right now..its about the actual case that the book is based on..
