probably a similar topic somewhere, but screw it. What are the most extreme movies you have seen? I don't just mean in terms of gore. For instance, if a scene in a movie gave you something close to a heart-attack or barfing, then it should be on this list. It is pretty much a fact as of right now that a low-budget Russian documentary/horror feature called 'Philosophy of a Knife' is the most violent movie ever made. Post movies here that have had a really strong effect on you. These can be productive. I once saw something that was sexually depraved and had an ambience like no other that eventually provided something productive.

Cannibal Holocaust made me feel dirty after watching it.
The "cornfield scene" in Casino still disturbs me to this day.

Cornfield? There's a cornfield in Casino?
I have Cannibal Holocaust on my Netflix Queue. I could bump it up to #1 at any time. But I don't know that there's any real reason to see it. I'm not sure I could ever buy some little Italian gore movie director's assumed and alleged social commentary on America ... ... Though I did do that with Nightmare City / City of the Walking Dead, which actually kind of felt brilliant to me. Their commentary on materialism and how we let it numb us to world problems like pollution and war actually felt more on-the-nose than Romero's Dawn of the Dead. Plus, they had all those great little moments of "Did you lock all the doors and windows in the house?" and the husband telling the wife to lock up the house and she is only slowly beginning to realize maybe she should trust him and that maybe something's not quite right after all.
But anyway, I saw Cannibal Ferox, which already had the same message as Cannibal Holocaust and really pretty much sucked. How could Cannibal Holocaust actually be any better?

i saw a few clips on youtube, and while they were very gory it was so fake looking that it took away from the overall experience

really? everyone who has seen it says that it is the most extreme thing they have ever seen and ever will see. the movie is supposed to mix actual footage of real torture conducted by the japanese during WWII and fake footage too, so maybe some is more convincing than other footage. as for the list, i spit on your grave is one of the most extreme things i've seen.

well from what i understand its not even a real "movie" just a bunch of torture scenes with some filler thrown in to call it a movie, so u wont miss out on anything by checking out a scene
