Sorry, I just have to ask... What's wrong with that title? 1. Tattooed Teenage Alien Fighters from Beverly Hills 2. Reading Rainbow 3. The Sopranos (how does singing have anything to do with the Mafia???)

its just sounds dumb, wtf is a reading rainbow?? Well, anything involving a rainbow symbolizes variety. There's that expression "all the colors of the rainbow." They're trying to say there's a lot to find in books. It's sort of reverse-psychology to get children to read. At least... that makes sense, ergonomically. Colors stimulate creativity in children and reading is something kids don't always like to do.

ok well if you put it like that it can make sense, buuuuuuuuuut either way i think its a dumb title It was a really boring show, that's for sure. i can say the same about the sopranos, i have never seen the show but isnt that the main guys last name?? Yes it's their name. But it's a ridiculous name. That was my point. On a very basic level, no one will ever be able to make the connection between organized crime and singing. That's like putting a song-and-dance number in the middle of a Dirty Harry car chase.

Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin. Both were singers that allegedly had ties to the Mafia. They were baritones though.
The Sopranos was a pretty good show in the beginning. It was very reminiscent of Martin Scorsese's gangster movies, like Goodfellas. By the 4th season it ran out of steam, and went downhill from there. The main problem was that the creators made a lot of plot lines over the years that they never wrapped up sufficiently. Mainly they'd just kill someone when the line got boring or whatever, rather than offering a decent resolution. Some they just dropped, with no further explanation. The series finale really sucked, and smells highly of plans for a spin-off movie.

Well, I fucking hate The Sopranos with every fiber of my being. But maybe it was a good show... in its' own sort of way. Far away from any other established standards of quality.

it seemed like almost everyone loved that show Online, yes. But in actual life, I don't know anyone who watched the show unless they were a fan of gangster movies.

I've never seen the Sopranos.
As for Reading Rainbow....lord love a duck, I hate that show. I remember being forced to watch it in Elementary School. Worse yet, that annoying theme song is permanently seared into my brain.

The Reading Rainbow theme isn't as bad as 100% of Barney's songs. I really hated Sharon, Lois, and Bram's Elephant Show too.
I'll tell you what was cool though. The Electric Company. I haven't seen it since the late 80s or early 90s, but from what I remember it was really weird for a kids show. I've always liked Morgan Freeman, but never realized that he was on that show until recently.

This might help: youtube.com/watch?v=oR65SA_fWLcThe show came on Nick Jr. When we first got Nick when I was young, they had some pretty cool shit, like You Can't Do That On Television, Grimm's Fairy Tale Classics, Spartakus, Mr. Wizard, Count Duckula, Danger Mouse, and best of all Turkey TV(it was like NiteFlight for kids: youtube.com/watch?v=OcXA_pkfLso). Hell David the Gnome, Belle and Sebastian and the Little Prince even grew on me eventually.

You used to love Barney? Are you Satan's child??? Ahh (lightbulb went on)! Just say Nick Jr. and I have an immediate picture in my head. I guess I obviously watched too much of that sort of thing as a child. Watched the clip and except for the song and the big Elephant, it didn't stir anything. But I searched for a second and came up with this (I remember intros better): youtube.com/watch?v=lWgyR5vtZwgBut the end credits theme is annoying as all hell.
