If I may comment on American culture... From what I see, it seems like the majority is tired of republicans. So pretty much, your options are going to be McCain or Hillary/Bill Clinton or Obama? But all I've heard from the get-go is mudslinging from the democratic camps against each other.Does that tactic work or do you guys tire of in-fighting as much as we do? Just wondering...

I'm tired of it all. Lewis Black was right when he said America needs a dead president.

I say they should bend the rules and make Arnie president already. With Seagal as VP and Bruce Willis as secretary of defence. A eutopia if you will.

Speaking of presidents and bullets: youtube.com/watch?v=QgTY1CpZhN4Btw T, be careful what you say. Threatening a president, even jokingly, can land you in prison or a nut house. I'm not for sure if it extends to candidates, but it does cover former presidents. The Secret Service doesn't have a sense of humor about things like that.

I'm pretty sure they can't do anything if you threaten a political figure. That's freedom of speech, right?

I was wrong about candidates, however vice presidents are included(Warning, boring shit ahead):
18 USC Sec. 871
(a) Whoever knowingly and willfully deposits for conveyance in the mail or for a delivery from any post office or by any letter carrier any letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm upon the President of the United States, the President-elect, the Vice President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President of the United States, or the Vice President-elect, or knowingly and willfully otherwise makes any such threat against the President, President-elect, Vice President or other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President, or Vice President-elect, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than five years, or both.
(b) The terms “President-elect” and “Vice President-elect” as used in this section shall mean such persons as are the apparent successful candidates for the offices of President and Vice President, respectively, as ascertained from the results of the general elections held to determine the electors of President and Vice President in accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 1 and 2. The phrase “other officer next in the order of succession to the office of President” as used in this section shall mean the person next in the order of succession to act as President in accordance with title 3, United States Code, sections 19 and 20
There are all sorts of laws that restrict free speech, or more exactly, punish certain types of speech. Slander and libel can get you sued; shouting fire in a crowded theatre would include inciting a riot, creating a disturbance, disorderly conduct, etc, and you'd also be liable for any injuries/deaths that occur as a result, or property damage; conducting prayer in an official capacity, on government owned or supported property(such as a teacher leading class prayer in public schools) is a violation of the civil rights of everyone subjected to it; etc.

GOOD on "conducting prayer" - religion is for PRIVATE use.
As for the candidates... I don't know much about McCain, all I know is that Ann Coulter (said she) hates him- so there's got to be something to love about him, no matter how deeply hidden.
Obama is a smart, compassionate man. But... we don't know what he'll be like as a leader. Anyone can make great speeches (except Dubya). But not just anyone can lead America.
