Check this out - www.trailersfromhell.com/A lot of the Masters of Horror directors (Mick Garris, Joe Dante, John Landis, Larry Cohen), plus other notable horror directors (Eli Roth, Mary Lambert, Edgar Wright), are doing this awesome thing online where they do commentary on famous old trailers (Psycho, Suspiria, Twitch of the Death Nerve, Squ irm, House of Usher, The Beguiled, and tons more).

This project seems to have been created by Joe Dante and the commentators even mention that they record it at his house. And I just want to say- to put one more nail in the coffin of the haters around here, the Masters of Horror group approve-of and praise Jeff Lieberman's classic Squ irm. As unflatteringly childish and feeble-resourced as he usually is, Eli Roth nevertheless praises it here. And so does Joe Dante and the Masters of Horror team involved with Trailers from Hell - since they pulled this together, and the trailer to Sq uirm is part of the collection. Beat that, T and Dave!

Incorrect. The original film is a classic. Just admit it already - you're full of fish paste.

With all the different people who disagree with you, and the fact that the only people who agree with you are FANBOYS of MST3K... Your opinion is null and void. Sorry, that's the end.

Bad Movies dot-org is a joke site, you moron. They also say Killer Klowns from Outer Space, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and Return of the Living Dead are bad movies too. What do you think? Well, you found 1. Now... If I look, I can find at least 2 reviews that blast Lucio Fulci's Zombie and The Beyond. And I can find at least 1 review that doesn't like John Carpenter's The Thing. And I know I can find at least 2 that agree with me that Haute Tension is either a complete piece of shit or just a crappy movie. So... Even with "more popular and well-liked horror movies," I can do this better than you. just look at IMDB.. read the reviews its about 50/50...and dont tell me those people dont count because there opinion counts just as much as yours.. Okay, first of all- you did not tell me how many of their "reviews" mention MST3K and how many don't. Second of all, you can't prove to me that those people actually even watched the movie. Can you? All you have to operate on is faith. im not telling you not to like it.. Well, I don't "really" like it at all. It's just a good movie. I watched it with my brain in my head. When I do that, I understand the movie. You clearly didn't and have screwed up biases. And if you could ever be right about this - you would never have felt that you needed to bring up MST3K. Which you and Dave did, in the desperate hopes that that would somehow make you right and me wrong. No way! just stop acting like what you think is right..we have already talked about this and you have actually been good lately so keep it up Oh gee, thanks for the vote of confidence. Now some of the acting wasn't as great as I said it was on second viewing. I watched it again, and you can say the acting was bad. That's your right. But the filmmaking style is still strong. And the most important thing is that the director made a good movie in spite of less than perfect resources. The thing you need to admit is that you never gave the movie a fair chance. You heard the movie was bad before you saw it, you probably saw the MST3K version first, and you wanted it to be bad - so you got a bad movie. You made it bad in your mind before you watched it. And I don't even have any proof that you watched the real movie and not the MST3K version. I on the other hand, watched the movie expecting something bad. Because Dave told me it was bad, I recently had seen Wolfen when Dave told me it was good and I told him he was right on the money about Wolfen. So what reason did I have for not trusting Dave? But it just so happens Leonard Maltin gave it 3 stars and he's a smart guy. He gave 3 stars to Brain Damage and Peter Jackson's Dead-Alive. So he knows good horror when he sees it. He also gave 3 stars to Halloween, Argento's Suspiria and Phenomena, Bava's Twitch of the Death Nerve / Bay of Blood, Scream, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, An American Werewolf in London, The Howling, A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors. So I had to take that into account. Unlike you, I actually sat down, watched the movie, and judged it for what it was worth. That's all that has to be said. I was right. You can THINK what you want to. In your head. But when you say it, you have to say it right. i thought it was dumb, boring, unrealisitc and had very annoying characters Who gives a shit if it's unrealistic? Was Alien realistic? Was The Blob realistic? Was Scanners realistic? Was The Day the Earth Stood Still realistic? Was The Thing realistic? Was The Fly realistic? Was Cat People realistic? Was Firestarter realistic? And the characters were supposed to be annoying. The movie is about a small town of hicks who are annoying, so that you want them to get killed by the worms. Besides, there are a lot of horror movies with only annoying characters. John Carpenter's The Thing, American Psycho, The Last House on the Left, all of Takashi Miike's films, Pet Sematary, Theater of Blood, Needful Things, the Demons movies, the Friday the 13th movies... Of course the movie was boring - it was an atmosphere film. Films like this and Halloween, Argento's films, The Fog, etc. are about establishing a mood. That is always done by using a slower pace and taking a long time to build things up. And it's all the better for it. The filmmakers didn't have the budget to use real worms in every scene. So yeah, the worm stuff is funny. But watch the movie again - it's not really about worms.

well there is no point in arguing with you.. all you wanna do is go back and forth about who is better or who knows more like some little girl You wish I was "some little girl." T, this wish-fulfillment thing you've got going on is so sad... i have told you this before your opinion is right to you and that is it.. You're just bothered by the fact that I use my intelligence more often than you do. I notice details without even trying. And when I'm entertained, it's completely genuine. You don't know the full value of what you're working with. I do. You don't know how to fully use the brain in your head. I can do it without even trying. Sorry that that upsets you so much.

you have no idea what your are even talking about That's you, T. Not me. stop trying to make yourself look smart.. you like or dont like movies for your own reason You wish. If that were true, it would mean that there are no good or bad movies. And admit it - you know there are good and bad movies. Seriously, why are you so threatened by me? You could have accepted this a long time ago and gotten over it. You keep freaking out (like a... little girl? sounds about right). Are you going to be okay? Do you need drugs or therapy?

sure there are good and bad movies.. to each individual person
a good movie to you might be a bad movie to me..
but there is no such thing as a universal bad movie..simply because you will never find a movie that the entire world thinks is bad or good

sure there are good and bad movies.. to each individual person You're talking about entertaining. But everyone has their own idea of what entertainment is. Some people are entertained by going out and raping women. So wait - that must be good just because someone is entertained by it. Right? Or... is it wrong? You're talking about "entertaining" movies, not good and bad. Anyway- I'm not talking about the entire world. I never was. YOU ARE. Not me.
