walker and the family guy are clearly 2 of the best shows ever..unless of course you hate chuck norris or have no sense of humor..
worst shows ever are all these new cartoons they come out with..nothing like stuff from the 80's and early 90's

I don't hate Chuck Norris. I just hate the fact that the writing on Walker is absolutely awful. And Family Guy just plain sucks. I have a sense of humor. That's why The Simpsons and South Park are clearly superior animated shows compared to Family Guy's shameless ripping off of both shows. Stewey is the only good, slightly original character on the show from which some SEMI-decent jokes came from. But even he isn't good enough to make an entire series work.
But I agree about cartoons from the 80's and 90's. Except I do think on occasion, SpongeBob SquarePants and the Fairly Odd Parents are extremely clever shows.

Hmm, half of you list I totally agree with and half I totally disagree with. Here's my opinions:
The 700 Club (1966-20??) - Could not AGREE with you more if I wanted to! I have no doubt that every person that watches this trash also votes for Dubya with no shame.
Rescue Me (200?-200?) - Have never watched an episode, but I really like Denis Leary. Unfortunately I'm not sure why he was chosen to headline a show with, to my knowledge, is not of a comedic nature.
House (2004-20??) - The storylines are a bit over the top. I'll give you that. But I absolutely LOVE Hugh Laurie's character.
7th Heaven (1996-200?) - Absolute over the top warm and cuddly crap! Poor Jessica Biel.......
Gilmore Girls (2000-2007) - I've never bothered watching this as I'm not a girl. But since it airs on the WB I'm sure it's pathetic.
The Shield (2002-20??) - Never seen this either, but Michael Chiklis is just a fattie as far as I'm concerned. Never understand why I should believe he or Dennis Franz is a badass when all they seem to be is an aggitated middle aged chub.
Family Guy (1999-200?) - You're kidding right? C'mon Family Guy is one of the best comedies ever made. Period.
The Sopranos (1999-2007) - Never missed it! Great show IMO. So sad that most people label it a "Mob" show and nothing else. It was much more clever than that. BTW I thought the ending was great!
Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001) - Yeah this show was just plain ridiculous (Sorry tsmooth). I'd rather watch Chuck's Total Gym infomercials. It did give us a great skit for the Conan O'brien show, so it wasn't a total loss.
Baywatch (1989-2001) - One of the most blatant expoitation shows ever made. Should have been shown on Cinemax late at night, because that's the audience that tuned in. It did introduce us to Pam Anderson running on beach though, and for that I will be forever grateful! lol
Touched by an Angel (1994-2003) - Never bothered because I just assumed warm & fuzzy b.s.
Sanford and Son (1972-1977) - Maybe not that great, but I did like Red Fox's character.
The Cosby Show (1984-1992) - I was never personally really entertained by this show, but I do respect it for it's social message about african americans to the rest of society.
The Howard Stern Show (1990-1993) / Howard Stern Radio Show (1998-2001) - Too crude for my taste, but I give Howard his due for pushing censorship to the limit on a continual basis. We need more people to do that IMO. Just maybe with a little more class.
Full House (1987-1995) - Absolutely absurd show. Was probably written by a kitten hugging a puppy.
Family Matters (1989-1998) - Same as Full House accept changed the color of the family's skin. Garbage.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers (1993-20??), and all versions of it (even though I still kind of like the older episodes - I was a kid then, sue me) - Not just pathetic and cheesy, but also very annoying. Crap.

I just hate TV in general. I watch Adult Swim a good bit, and I like My Name is Earl. Other than that I usually just read, watch movies or play video games.
Older shows I still like are Red Dwarf, Bottom, the Young Ones, Lexx, Monty Python's Flying Circus, Mr. Show, MST3K, Tales from the Darkside, Tales from the Crypt, Kids in the Hall, and Kung Fu. Other than that I could live without seeing another tv show ever again.

Amen! I totally agree. 95% of television is a pure waste of time. Especially anything found on network tv. If I bother watching it's usually a movie or news channel. But even those are pretty much lame most of the time.........................

Was watching a bit of the 700 Club last night, and that ba stard actually called cremation a sin. And said that people should all be buried and work through their feelings of being "wormfood" by taking the time to make sure they are 'preserved right'. There is just no limit to the depths Pat Robertson will sink to. Nothing is okay by this guy! And talk about hypocrasy, he said that divorce might not be a sin because the original marriage might have been decided by the couples' hormones. Gee, I thought all heterosexual legal marriages were united by God, not hormones, and since they join together, it's always going to be a sin to divorce. He says maybe God decided to separate them because he wanted them to be with other people. Oh, okay... so when I jack-off tonight looking at pictures of Colin Ferrel, maybe that's because God decided that's what I should do. I really like Denis Leary. I like him too. That's why it bugs me that his show sucks so much. House (2004-20??) - The storylines are a bit over the top. I'll give you that. But I absolutely LOVE Hugh Laurie's character. I think it's a straight-up rip-off of many other characters. Basically, it's a combination of Basil Fawlty from Fawlty Towers (the hotellier who hates hotel-guests) and Dr. Perry Cox from Scrubs. Not to mention it's also pieces of several other antisocial characters, including Roseanne Conner (the character on the Roseanne sitcom) and Red Forman (That '70s Show). The intimidating, nasty, slightly bitter, insulting person with no people skills (and who basically hates people) who "tells it like it is" in an occupation where he has to work with other people. Really, his character is not original. So, screw him, basically. I can even think of more characters he resembles to some extent (a couple are Miguel Ferrer's from Crossing Jordan and Megan Mullally's from Will & Grace - maybe even Estelle Getty's from The Golden Girls). Michael Chiklis Never understand why I should believe he or Dennis Franz is a badass when all they seem to be is an aggitated middle aged chub. Ooh, I actually like Dennis Franz. Maybe I shouldn't, but he was always a great family man and friend in the later episodes of NYPD Blue. But thanks for mentioning him, that's another character that guy from House ripped off. The list is getting heftier. Family Guy (1999-200?) - You're kidding right? C'mon Family Guy is one of the best comedies ever made. Period. I'm sorry, but no it's not. Peter is a lousy rip-off of Homer Simpson, Lois is a lousy rip-off of Marge Simpson, Meg is a lousy rip-off of Lisa, Chris is a lousy rip-off of Bart, then Brian is Patty & Selma, and Stewey is Troy MacLure daffy mixed with Cartman from South Park's mean-spirited taunting. The jokes are almost all ripped off from things The Simpsons already did (especially Luke Perry! But I've also in the past counted at least 6 or 7 other jokes they ripped off and I don't even watch the show regularly). The Sopranos (1999-2007) - Never missed it! Great show IMO. So sad that most people label it a "Mob" show and nothing else. It was much more clever than that. BTW I thought the ending was great! Sorry, but this show is straight-up garbage. It's almost all painfully cliched, unoriginal, and just brain-rotting. Walker, Texas Ranger (1993-2001) - Yeah this show was just plain ridiculous (Sorry tsmooth). I'd rather watch Chuck's Total Gym infomercials. So would I. It did introduce us to Pam Anderson She is so gross. She has this big, weird piece of skin/flesh right in the middle of the space between her boobs. I think it holds them on her chest, they're so huge. Besides, she's a ditz and she's getting old too. Probably already starting to sag. I don't think the Gilmore Girls and 7th Heaven were bad shows because they were 'fuzzy' and 'warm'. I think they were bad because they were lame, cliched, and about attractive lower-upper class families where everyone whined all the time and basically didn't have problems. They talked too much and never said anything witty, clever, or of any consequence. Touched by an Angel stunk because it was preachy and blatantly not concerned with supporting characters. A lot like Law and Order (which I like, except I hate Criminal Intent) and C.S.I. (which I don't like). The Cosby Show was boring and unrealistic. It had a good message, but it was completely fictitious. Plus, most of the kids were annoying. Especially Theo. I even though his best friend, Co ckroach (?), was more convincing and likable than Theo. Full House is a deceiving show. They make it look like it's about this large, extended family and their ups and downs. But, really it's a one-sided parable about parental control and cultism! The entire house are over-involved in each others' lives. Every time they write in D.J. or Jesse or Michelle having a problem, every single other character suddenly focused all their attention on that person and would all talk to them at the same time. They might as well have been wearing brownish-red hooded robes, holding candles, and chanting - "we will make you one of us! One of us!! One of us!!!"

Some shows I'd like to add: Every sitcom that portrays men as mindless, fat, beer swilling morons who need their wife to run their life. Does that offend you? The shows that bother me, falling somewhere under that description are the shows where annoying but sexually attractive wives are married to unattractive, fat guys. Or just ugly dumb guys with no real sense of legitimate passion. Especially: Still Standing and Everybody Loves Raymond. Although the writing is also equally weak on Yes Dear and King of Queens, I can actually understand why those wives married those men. Every soap opera ever made Every "news" program ever aired on the Fox News Channel American Idol The Bachelor Survivor Who Wants to Marry a Millionaire Dancing with the Stars Jerry Springer Show The Tonight Show (Jay Leno not Johnny) Televised Golf ER Punk'd The Apprentice Lizzie McGwire WWE Wrestling Home Shopping Network Desperate Housewives Total Request Live Big Brother The OC Beverly Hills 90210 Good examples, all. Though I must admit to liking the WWF & WCW Wrestling shows when I was a teen. Every show on the E! channel Even The Soup? I actually like quite a few shows that have been on the E! Channel. Last night, in fact, I nearly died laughing watching Chelsea Lately. Generally speaking, I like that program even though I just checked it out. I also love The Soup. Some of the jokes fall flat (all the ones involving the 'production crew' - why do any of us want to see them? We don't! Just because we keep tuning in for Joel and his often funny jokes doesn't mean we think the crew are funny or cool!). And their E! True Hollywood Story program used to be great. Now it sucks, but I still watch it every now and then if it's something on something I want to know about. Plus, say what you want, but I really liked quite a few episodes of the Anna Nicole Show. Generally speaking, it was a bad show. But sometimes, it was quite interesting. In a Freakshow kind of way. Quantum Leap is a really sappy show, yes. And Sam is kind of a weak character. And Al is predictable and not very amusing. But I find the show often freakishly entertaining and watchable. I won't defend it apart from that. But... sometimes it's just irresistable. And I will definitely be buying it on DVD someday. Which is a real commitment for me. The View usually sucks. But I like what Rosie O' Donnell brought to the show. People can insult her weight, looks, gender, and sexuality all they want, but she's still smart and ballsy. And yeah, she's gone now. But... maybe Whoopi Goldberg will be kicking sufficient Republican ass in her place. Sometimes... SpongeBob SquarePants is pure genius! I could name at least a dozen episodes of that series that were funny as hell. Maybe they're on YouTube, who knows. But for now, I'll recommend "Hooky," "Wet Painters," "Texas," "SpongeBob Scaredy Pants," "Nasty Patty," and "Naughty Nautical Neighbors." That show is not always outstanding, but it is sometimes da mningly funny. I have the complete seasons 1 and 3 on DVD and it never fails to entertain. Also, check out "Rock Bottom" - one of my favorites! But it's true, I have seen some truly bad episodes. Especially the one called I think "Fools in April,", then the unbelievably strange one about SpongeBob as a Bubble or something (not the "Bubbly Buddy" one), actually I think they called it something like "The Sponge Who Could Fly." I haven't seen enough Pokemon or Cartoon Network's anime shows, but I find most of them boring. In fact, when it comes to anime there are only 3 things I love: Sailor Moon, Case Closed, and the Unico movies. Never seen The Benny Hill, Magic Johnson, or Chevy Chase Shows. Or Entourage. And Mtv's shows just completely suck now. I don't know what the F happened to that channel. Although I would think it'd have something to do with... Jackass. I think that show pretty much single-handedly killed the intelligence of their viewers' / fan base. Then came the season of The Real World that totally killed the quality of the show: Back to New York. Then Viva La Bam drove the channel even further down. Until we basically have lost all intelligence on Mtv altogether and find ourselves with shows so bad, you never thought they'd be shown on TV, like: My Super Sweet 16, Next, Made, and that thing about the boyfriends who go to a hotel with their ex-girlfriends who try to seduce them while their current girlfriend watches in another room on a 5-minute camera feed with the current boyfriend of the other boyfriend's ex-girlfriend. Sordid and stupid, but it's actually on TV. I'll agree Silk Stalkings was always pretty bad... but I still liked it. I probably would still like it today if I owned any of the seasons. Saved by the Bell is horrible, yes. Even worse than Full House. But I'll always like it. I won't lie about that. Inside the Actors Studio used to be a good show. But admittedly, it was the Guests who killed the quality. The two shows that really plunged the show down to never-recover territory were Will Smith and the cast of The Simpsons. They deserved to be on the show, but A) Will Smith wasn't ready and needed to do more movies first, and B) the Simpsons' cast spent half the show in-freaking-character. BAD IDEA. What are we going to learn about acting, hearing what Homer's favorite word is and what professions Lisa would absolutely like to and not like to try??? And... I like Sex and the City. There, I said it. I don't like everything about it. But I like it, I don't think it's that bad, and I will never make any apologies for it. I like Sarah Jessica Parker and her cute little voice. And I like Cynthia Nixon and really identify with her character on the show, even though I'm male.

Damn I did forget to make it clear that The Soup SHOULD NOT be included when I said all shows on the E! channel, as I am a big fan of it.
Revision: Every show on the E! channel EXCEPT The Soup.

What is it about human beings at their worst that seems to fascinate so many Americans? I actually think a lot of those shows are very entertaining. Especially the first season of Flavor of Love (the most delightful and addictive freak show I've ever seen!), Mo Nique's Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School (technically, even better than F.o.L.), Tori Spelling's 10-episodes-then-tragically-tossed So NoTorious, the moderately entertaining 3rd and 5th seasons of The Surreal Life (especially the Janice & Amarossa stuff), and... sorry, but Hogan Knows Best is great. And I still like what I'm seeing of Celebrity Fit Club.
