Yum... "None for me, thanks." On a sidenote, though... THAT is what horror Blood is supposed to look like, KNB.

Deranged has always been on my list of movies to see. Now that you posted that scene, I know it's a must buy.

Good luck getting it now. The MGM DVD is out of print. But, yeah, if it's on Netflix (and you have that service) or if you ever find it somewhere - get it, watch it. It's on my Top 20 Greatest Horror Films of All Time list (not that I have it made it somewhere).

I thought so. Couldn't believe I found it for $10...in a used record store of all places...

HOT OFF THE PRESSES (added 2 days ago!!!), the full version of Greta's "you are what you eat!" death scene from A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child: As for what is different in this version: *Different music notes you hear, you can hear women singing in this track, and you can hear the guests laughing individually (0:42-0:47) *0:49-0:53 - you can see Freddy cut the entire doll open vertically, see the doll's blood pouring down its' neck, hear and see its' heart beating and pumping *1:02-1:05 - another shot of Freddy's claws holding the doll's gory innards. He says... well, it sounds like, "(something?) are we..." *1:12 - 2 completely new shots: Freddy picks up the feeding chair front and throws it, then stabs her in the stomach with his claws, and rips out her insides *1:28-1:34 - while hugging her, he says, "poor baby" but in the movie version he says, "there, there." *1:42-1:43 - a new shot of a row of guests sitting and laughing, evilly *2:13-2:19 - a different shot of the mother standing up

They didn't. They cut it for the MPAA back in 1989 so they could get an R-rating to show in theaters. The MPAA gave them an X rating when they first brought the film in.

Ugh. I hate the MPAA, or as I like to call them, the Fourth Reich.

I know, right? They cut out most of Jason's sleeping bag kill from New Blood. I've watched this scene uncut, and it is much better. He slams her into the tree a few more times, and in slow motion. It looked great!
The MPAA had no business cutting that out, especially since there was no blood or gore!

Any company who is looking to give a film a release into most theaters has to run their film by this group.
