Is it just me or are these the most under-appreciated slasher-flicks around? None of my friends have even seen them. Heathens!!! I read that they are bringing back some main people from the first one to do part 5.... awesome! If there was limited theater showings, maybe it would bring back that whole sub-genre.(If they go with a majority of CGI scenes, I will piss on the whole affair!)

Summer Camp Nightmare is my favorite of them, but it was more like a b-movie version of Lord of the Flies, than a slasher.

yea that was a crazy ending i have never seen part 2 or 3 tho.. i really need to check them out tho because i did really like the first Part 2 ("Unhappy Campers") is much different than the first. One thing I thought was interesting is the killer is played by Bruce Springsteen's sister. Anyway, it's a very campy, bloody slasher with some great death scenes. If you're a fan of that kind of thing (and I know you are, tsmooth ), it's a great watch! I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Both parts 2 and 3 are of a completely different kind of filmmaking. The only thing they have in common with the first movie are cabins.
The first film is great. In fact, in terms of concept and how the film is a fully realized vision, I consider it a stronger film than Friday the 13th. It's intentionally campy and bizarre. And was clearly never expected to be taken seriously. So, it isn't. Nobody takes it seriously. It's basically one of the best exploitation horror films ever made.
The sequels are just cheap, stupid movies.

I actually like the second one more than the first.
The third is pretty bad though.

Once again I go with Vincent price's choices. 2 is one of my favorite camp-movies but three is also pretty shitty.

I thought part 3 was better than part 2. But still, they're both cheap, stupid movies.

That is their genre though. If I want something with a little more substance, I'll just watch some Oscar-nominated shit.
