Correctamundo! In a special feature, Tom Savini said that it was better than Friday Part 1 and I almost have to agree. Better music, story, characters but .... ohhhh!Tough call. Anyone else?

You know something? This movie is actually available to watch on YouTube. So, anyone can check out the beginning or whatever to see if it's something they'd live to buy now that MGM has released it Uncut on DVD. I'll give the link in a few minutes.

My favorite Slasher of all time. Just a great one all-around.
The raft slaughter sequence is classic.

Totally agree Vinny. If you take Friday 1 as a singular film and not the birth of a franchise/mega-villain, Burning whoops the shit out of it.

Well, obviously I've got to see this movie.
We're not just talking about FX here, right? Atmosphere, acting, these things have been considered too, right?

Atmosphere is good, it's a Summer Camp setting and it catches it perfectly I think. As for acting, it's above most Slashers and it does have some future stars in the cast...Jason Alexander and Holly Hunter especially.

Stars aside, the characters are more likeable. Other than "Ned,the comedian" in Friday 1, the rest of the cast can all go down and I would have no problem. The music is pretty much pure synth, so if you like that sound there should be no problems. Also, Ratner from Fast Times at Ridhemont High is in there but his character is puzzling and runs like a schmoe! Good pace, ending ...Give it a shot Laz!

If it's still on YouTube and the member hasn't been kicked off yet, I'll watch it next week.

i finally just got around to watching this since it was on IFC..didnt really care all that much for it..i love slashers that take place at camps but this one just was to predictable and didnt really go anywhere..it wasnt a total waste but it was jus to cliche..had there been more gore and a good ending it may have worked better for me
