Day of the Dead is my favorite. If you take this movie,Dawn of the Dead's score, and Return's humour, you'd have the perfect zombie film. Any thoughts?

Romero's Trilogy is sacred and and everything else falls flat in comparison. Of everything else, for me it comes down to Burial Ground, Wild Zero, and Return of the Living Dead. It's a three-way tie between them for me. If forced to choose, I'd go with Burial Ground.

Day of the Dead for me. But as everyone knows, zombie movies don't do much for me.

I have a huge beef with "fast zombies".It's far-fetched enough without having them being olympic athletes. I thought Land of the Dead was a good compromise.

Troma's "Zombiegeddon" is worth checking out T. Decent celeb. cameos too.

Favorite? Good question. I'm also not a huge fan of the zombie subgenre.
Dawn of the Dead is epic and technically well-made. But it's too subtle for me. I find overt messages to be a lot more interesting and Romero's points about consumerism were too buried in the gentle comedic touches in the film. Otherwise, I would probably call this a favorite. There are quite a few little moments I like a lot.
Even though there's only 1 zombie in the movie... I'm going to go with: Creepshow. I loved it's comic book approach and style. Very Tales from the Crypt before the stylish television series began (haven't seen the Amicus movie since I was a kid).

The Leslie Nielson story is great as is "Father's Day".Both sort of have zombies but...

^^^That's quite a reach, don't ya think? I was trying to think of a favorite. If I have to choose, I'm going to choose my favorite Zombie in any horror movie. I could have decided on An American Werewolf in London. It had zombies in it. These may be reaches...but I don't really care. Except that I finally think I remembered my #1 favorite just now (I don't know how I forgot it before): Dead Dudes in the House (1988, Troma Team distribution aka- The House on Tombstone Hill)

It's on two different things: the Toxie Top Ten boxset, and the Toxie's Triple Terror Vol. 6 - but as I see it now... they're both out of print or unavailable now...

Yeah and it's a damn tragedy because I was going to suggest everyone pick up a copy. Some people say the transfer on the DVD was terrible and that the VHS is better, but that's out of print and unavailable too. I own the VHS and the movie is very gory, very intense, very scary, and not horribly acted either.
Of course, I think a few people didn't like it because the zombies in this movie don't eat anyone and they don't walk like the ones in Night of the Living Dead and Dawn of the Dead. They talk like the crazy killer type and try to kill people once they've been killed. It doesn't matter, the movie is still really scary.
