Squirm was a good movie.
I'd say Blue Sunshine was better, though. Because it's very creepy and intense. The opening murder is very vicious. But it's very talky, though. If you can deal with that... I'd say it's worth checking out.

I've been meaning to check this out too. Satan's Little Helper is great. Squirm is just that: Garbage. So I'm hoping this film falls somewhere between those extremes.

Squirm is a good movie. It's not garbage because it's a good movie. House of 1,000 Corpses is Garbage.
Like I said, Blue Sunshine is a little boring since it, much like Squirm, is mainly a detective flick. There's a mystery and the main characters (a guy and a girl) are trying to figure it out. And there's not much gore- definitely less than Squirm (better known as a good movie). You just have to give it a chance. It's very creepy (like most of Lieberman's horror films) because he plays it obviously. But the Synapse DVD has an AMAZING 5.1 soundtrack. And that always was responsible for how intense and exciting the film was.
Anyway- try to remember the real standout scene: "Wendy!! Wendy!! Wendy!! Wendy!!" I love that scene.

By the way, I finally checked out the LISTING on that double feature... Shout! Factory I'm not very familiar with as a company (except I know they released the seasons of Punky Brewster), but you're taking a risk as to the condition of that movie and the quality of the movie it's doubling with.
Forget that and dish out the extra couple bucks for Synapse's Limited Edition disc. It really is worth the money. Their 5.1 tracks kick ass!
