I don't know about the rest of you, but I believe the silent comedies of the early 1900's beat the crap out of today's comedies. People like Charlie Chaplin and Buster Keaton defined the genre, and am proud to own many DVD's of their misadventures.
Does anyone else agree, or do I just sound like a disgruntled old man?

I like silent horror, but I've never watched a silent comedy. Sounds like something I should give a try though.

Love'em although they do tend to be hit or miss.
Buster Keaton is my favorite though, The General is an absolute classic.

I prefer Faust to Nosferatu. Both are amazing though. The Golem is another favorite, but it lacks the surreal atmosphere of Faust, and the creepiness of Nosferatu.
