Agreed. I don't know how many films I've rented who's box compared it to Pulp Fiction/Reservoir Dogs, or the director to Tarantino. I've only seen one movie(Boondock Saints) that could honestly be compared to Reservoir Dogs, and maybe even be considered better, yet the producers chose not to sink so low. They didn't have to. The movie stands well on it's own.
Pieces' box mentions TCM, and while it's an entertaining movie, it's more MST3K fare than anything. Too bad Mike/Joel and the bots never did gore movies.

If I hear a movie promoting itself by comparing it to being similar to another movie that's already been successful, I'm done with it right there. That tells me that the director had NO creativity and is just trying to cash in on a currently popular trend. Regurges are a complete waste of time. I avoid 'em like herpes.

On the back of the Donnie Darko dvd (original version) it says "In the tradition of STIR OF ECHOES and FINAL DESTINATION..." Yeah, those two movies have absolutely nothing in common with DD. Also, on the dvd cover for Darkness Falls it says "For sheer terror, it runs rings around 'The Ring'" (And they're bragging about this because.. )

Yeah, whether people like the movie or not, they have to admit that Frank the Bunny is about the freakiest damn thing ever seen on a movie screen. Yikes!

^^ I think it's mostly the grin on his face. Something very sinister about it.............Just looking at the above picture gives me the willies.

Yeah, whether people like the movie or not, they have to admit that Frank the Bunny is about the freakiest damn thing ever seen on a movie screen. Yikes! You did see Eraserhead, didn't you? I haven't. But, everyone who does says there's something in there (a baby?) is the freakiest damn thing ever seen on a movie screen. Anyway- does everyone see that? I don't like Donnie Darko, but it's a good movie. It's an incredible movie, actually. But- it kind of goes against everything I believe in. And I'm not talking about time travel.

Yeah, the baby in Eraserhead is pretty disturbing. Not as disturbing as the Lady In The Radiator from the same film, though. At least for me. She creeps me out.

I try not to think about the baby from Eraserhead. Mostly because I want to be able to fall asleep tonight. Yikes.
