I've just watched the dumbest movie ever. It made Manos look coherent and good. Seriously. The Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie. If you haven't seen it stay well away. If you like the Aqua Teens, still stay away. If you by any chance were involved in the production of this POS please kill yourself.

I never liked the show, but I thought maybe the movie would be better. Thanks for the advice, I'll try and stay away from this one.

Are you sure this movie is dumber than Adam Sandler's animated Christmas gross-out "comedy," Eight Crazy Nights?

^^^^^I liked 'Eight Crazy Nights' as well.
--My vote for dumbest movie ever goes to any of the following:
'Kazam'
'Basic Instinct 2'
'Bring It On'
I dare anyone to rent & watch all three of these "gems" and not want to blow your brains out afterwards.

i liked Eight Crazy Nights I'm not surprised. pink flamingos now thats the dumbest movie ever Actually, it's not. It was poorly made. But that doesn't make it dumb. It's actually very smart, subversive, strange, and clever. That means: " not dumb." ^^^^^I liked 'Eight Crazy Nights' as well. Well-- you might as well throw out that "intelligent, College-level" higher-quality taste in comedy. You now have no further right to say anything about Airplane! There are certainly moments in that movie where you sit there wondering - "what Planet am I on right now?" Like those cheerleading competition scenes. The movie completely drops it's train of thought and attempts to pick up a sports-movie momentum. Yeah, the movie is dumb. But I would not call it one of the dumbest movies ever. Because it uses that to it's advantage. And it appeals to large audiences. Consider me one of the converted - this movie has the power. I don't like it, perse. Because it's one of those movies that in every beat it bends. It starts out well, because of the technical high-quality of the movie, but then an actor will give a ridiculously squeezed-from-a-lemon reading of a line and the director will slip in some pop song and hope you don't notice. But the movie still manages to keep the viewer watching. It's actually very well-written. Apart from that, it's appeal is entirely unexplainable. I will, however, always stick up for the movie. Because at least it's not watered-down - like Legally Blonde. That's one thing I cannot forgive. I think the real King of Dumb Movies is Will Ferrell. So, seriously, anything he's associated with is pretty much so-dumb that if you watch it, you will literally lose bits of your brain as you watch.

^^^^^Yeah, i had to sit through 'Bring it On' cuz i was dating a cheerleader at the time and she was convinced that if i watched it i'd have a newfound respect for cheerleading as a sport. Needless to say, i still have no respect for it, nor do i consider it a sport. BTW, she was REALLY into 'Legally Blonde' as well. Too bad you don't play for the "hetero" team as you'd probably get along with her much better than i did!

we can also add squirm to this list Ain't gonna happen. Yeah, I had to sit through 'Bring it On' cuz I was dating a cheerleader at the time I had a real attitude against the movie before I saw it. Nobody told me that by watching, my attitude would change. The fact is- the movie's not really about looking at cheerleading in a different way or making it look legitimate. It's about people who would have nothing else they could be great at doing without cheerleading, it gave them new opportunities. Of course, the mainstream love for the movie has nothing to do with this. Instead, they just loved the trendy dialogue and all the cheerleading moves. Which is the most sheepish and un-Bring It On thing they could have done. The movie's point went completely over their heads. But at that time, I was completely anti-anything they sold to teens. Because almost none of it actually involved real teenagers. Well, high school-aged teens. Legally Blonde, Coyote Ugly, and this movie. All of them were trendy and popular for reasons having nothing to do with the "positive social messages" the filmmakers thought they were bringing to the movies. Nothing pissed me off more, though, than Coyote Ugly. I believe an episode of whatever series the Olsen Twins had at the time had an episode where they were like, "ooh! I love that movie," and started dancing on the table in their living room, substituting Chocolate Syrup for the alcohol and water the girls sprayed and dumped on each other in the bar-dancing scenes. Coyote Ugly was half "you're gonna be a star! Just let me drop off this Demo Tape and you'll be a hit" rags-to-riches movie (with a girl who already looks like she's from the Riches side), and half Spring Break Sorority Babes type flick with a different location, to sort of make people think they were a slightly classier version. Needless to say, the film's message of "don't treat me like a wh ore just 'cause I work in a Sl ut-Bar" was completely lost by everyone. Expect Leonard Maltin - who lost his freakin' mind when he had the nerve to give that movie 2-and-1/2 stars! I can no longer respect the man... Not since his 2 stars for Donnie Darko. Anyway, back to Bring It On - for most of the running time, it is a well-made movie that just annoys really smart people. And I think that "girlfriend" you're talking about was probably referencing Miss Congeniality and said "cheerleading" when she meant "beauty pageants." That's the movie about thinking people who do what the movie's about are all stupid, but once you see it from the inside, you know the bim bo-tics are all an act. Now, there's a good movie. Even if their version of a beauty pageant was a lot less sickening than the real ones. Needless to say, i still have no respect for it, nor do i consider it a sport. Actually, they address that in the movie. When the girl wants to do gymnastics and the school favors the Cheerleading over gymnastics. An episode of Judging Amy showed the Amy character's extreme displeasure at the thought of her daughter becoming a cheerleader. If only B.I.O. had gone one step further and showed how and why schools care so much about cheerleaders... But, then there was that Lifetime movie about the football team who would kind of push the cheerleaders around, in a sexual kind of way. Hard to explain, but it did leave the viewer feeling somewhat good at the end because the football team lost the harassment case. But yeah - not a real sport, but the girls go through social hell and it's not the "sport" we need to respect, it's the people. Just not the viewers who would watch this movie and continue perpetuating the negative myths and stereotypes just for the fun of seeing the entire cast doing cheerleading moves to a 2nd rate cover of "Mickey." BTW, she was REALLY into 'Legally Blonde' as well. Ouch. That's when you know it's 'time to see other people'.

I might well be in the minority in this, but I actually kind of like Legally Blonde. I don't LOVE it or anything, but I find it to be pretty good for what it is: mindless fluff. Now, Legally Blonde 2 is a whooooole other kettle of salmon. THAT movie made me want to put my fist through the screen.

I didn't really hate Legally Blonde, but I didn't like it either. To me it was just mediocre, and forgettable.

Me thinks I had more of a problem with the message of the movie more than anything. The idea of a vapid So-Cal ditz stumbling into success doesn't sit well with me. But with so many of those types running around and getting famous these days I guess I can see how there would be an audience for it.

Me thinks I had more of a problem with the message of the movie more than anything. The idea of a vapid So-Cal ditz stumbling into success doesn't sit well with me. But with so many of those types running around and getting famous these days I guess I can see how there would be an audience for it. 100% Agreement. Legally Blonde is a story of a Rich Girl who buys her way into Harvard with a flashy video essay and doesn't do anything on her own- she has help from her friends every step of the way. And so what if she loses her rich boyfriend, so what if she couldn't tell her professor was a sleaze and her boyfriend was a chump, so what if snotty girls slight her? She always had good friends- she didn't need to go anywhere to get anything. She had everything she needed from the start. Yet, the movie gives the rich, beautiful, beloved "Princess" character more, even though she already had everything she needed. What is this movie- a fairy tale? Is Elle supposed to be Snow White? Pinocchio? Cinderella? That if she is gentle and kind, sweet and gracious, and undergoes 15 minutes worth of hardship, that's enough for her to guarantee her dreams will come true? She didn't even go to Harvard to better herself, she did it to get back her boyfriend. Yet, she succeeds anyway? Most people say this movie was great because it didn't use blonde stereotypes to get laughs and because it made Elle look smart. Yeah right, only if we completely suspend all disbelief and the entire concept of reality. I don't know why this movie didn't start with a sequence where Elle was dropped from a spaceship, ala- The Cat from Outer Space, or Mr. Bean. I might well be in the minority in this, but I actually kind of like Legally Blonde. I don't LOVE it or anything, but I find it to be pretty good for what it is: mindless fluff. Yeah, but, when you turn off your mind... People Die.
