70's Steelers - The best dynasty in the history of the NFL imo. I think those teams ended up placing something like six players in the hall of fame. Unreal. 80's 49ers - A great dynasty to be sure, but the 70's Steelers were more balanced offensively and had a far superior defense. 00's Patriots - The best dynasty of recent play, but being they competed in the free agency era, they simply would not have the talent to compete with the Steelers and 'Niners of old. Those two teams were in an era where you could accumulate an endless amount of talented players for their entire careers. Would have been interesting to see what Belichick could've done with a team back in those days.............. I think you also could add the Cowboys teams from the early 90's to this list as well. I hated them, but have to admit that they were loaded! Also, if the Bills teams from the same era had won 4 straight titles instead of losing 4 straight, they'd probably be considered the greatest dynasty ever. Just some food for thought.

the pats didnt even have a great team..they just played great and were coached good..you look at them on paper though and they seem average at best..and i could never call the cowboys one of the best...that thought just sickens me
