Just wondering what you're opinions are about Vick's dog fighting allegations/scandal.........................Do you think he'll be found guilty, and if he is, will he face jail time? Will he ever play for the Falcons, or the league for that matter, again? Should Atlanta have kept Matt Schaub? How will Joey Harrington do in Atlanta now that he's the starter?

you know what i was thinking about making a topic about him..i think its pretty clear that he was fighting and killing dogs..i was never a vick fan...but i never hated him..i dont think he will do much jail time if any..i think harrington may start the season with vick taking over..unless harrington is doing really good...which is highly unlikely ...but for an honest opinion i hope vick gets to play and gets injured..its what he deserves..i would love to see him get his leg snapped in 2 on MNF agains the giants..either that or throw him in a ring with kimbo and he will be beat to death..if you dont know who kimbo is search him on youtube..

I agree 100% with every point you make. I've always thought Vick was more hype and potential than anything else and I'm glad to hopefully have a full season without having to listen to commentators go on and on and on about how dangerous he is when he scrambles out of the pocket. So he can run fast and has a big arm, but he's never consistently been able to beat anybody week in and week out by breaking down a defense with his arm. Not to mention that his current legal situation proves that he without a doubt is missing many, if not all, of the personal intangibles it takes to be a quarterback that can carry a team and make others players better like Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, etc.
As far as his guilt is concerned, I don't think it matters if he participated in the fighting or not. The bottom line is he allowed people to live and conduct themselves like the criminals that they obviously are on property that he holds ownership of. That to me makes him ultimately responsible for anything that went on whether he says he knew about it or not (btw, I don't believe him for a second when he says he had no knowledge of the events taking place). To me it's the same problematic situation as with Pacman Jones. These guys get all this money and opportunity but refuse not to quit hanging around a group of people that are nothing more than rotten thug criminals. I mean, if you choose to hang around and support criminals sooner or later you're gonna be a criminal too. I have absolutely no sympathy for Vick and hope if he's found guilty that he's punished to the full extent of the law.
BTW, anybody who really believes these charges are racially motivated probably thinks that O.J. Simpson didn't kill Nicole Brown or Ron Goldman either. Pure rubbish IMO.

^^^yep i agree with all that too..you need to be more then a great athlete to play QB...you can be a great athlete in basketball and be very good..doesnt work as a QB though..and him saying he had no idea it was going on is just ridiculous..i really dont think anyone can be that dumb as to not realize dogs are fighting and prob being killed on your property..in my mind im 100% convinced that he fought dogs and killed them..that right there is enough for me to say he should be out the whole year..but like i said i cant help but to think in the back of my mind i want to see him play and get a serious injury...and the whole racial thing well you are always gonna have some idiots trying to say race is involved..a black guy does something and their is out rage..a white guy does something and it goes right under the radar...i will give you a perfect example..
in the NBA 2 seasons ago..not sure if you remember but chris andersen who is white got caught with some illegal substance in his system..it was his first offense..and he was banned from the league for 2 years..2 years!!!...there is guys that do much worse then that and are only suspened a few games..that was ridiculous..and most people prob dont even know about that because it got no coverage at all..now imagine if that had been a black guy??? we would prob still be hearing about it.. i cant stand the whole white black thing especially in sports...but really all over..there is always gonna be racist individual people..but if a black guy does something bad whoever is trying to call it a racial issue has to shut the **** up and realize he is in trouble because he was a dumbass and did something stupid..not cuz he is black

I totally agree! The race card gets played entirely too much in ALL aspects of our society. I think that the media deserves a lot of credit for the problem as they are always looking for a nice racial injustice angle to play as they know it'll get a lot of viewership. A perfect example was the whole Don Imus radio scandal a while back. I think the guy is a shmuck for saying what he said and I don't feel sorry for him in the least. But did we really need wall to wall coverage and lead stories about it on every channel for 2 weeks? I just hope the news cronies use their head on this Mike Vick situation and decide not to pander to anyone who says the charges are in any way racially motivated. I also hope the commissioner and the owner of the Falcons are able to do the right thing as well and give him no special treatment just because he's a big name and icon around the football world. Wrong is wrong IMO, no matter what your name or job is, and if he's found guilty I hope he's justly punished for it.

One more thing..................Not many people are talking about this yet, but if Matt Schaub goes out and plays great for Houston and Vick ends up sitting the entire season, Arthur Blanc and the rest of the Atlanta brass are going to look pretty darn foolish for making the decision to trade him away and put all of their eggs in Vick's basket.
