I think Brandon Jacobs is going to be good for about 8 weeks, then when all the hits and lack of stamina catch up to him he's going to suffer major slowdown.
I also think he wishes he were Marion Barber Thrice.

nah hes just as fast as most other backs..his stamina is the same too..and he will limit the amount of guys he trys to run over..its not like there was never a big back..plus hes not fat like bettis..hes just a big guy

I think he's got potential albeit a Tiki Barber he is not. Big physical backs usually excel at the NFL level because you can wear down an opposing defense over the course of a game. Also, he has the body frame to be durable if Eli can be productive to keep his carries down. Two worries: 1) Being the fulltime starter is much different than being a "change of pace" back, and 2) Because of his height he'll need to concentrate on keeping is pad level low so he doesn't take a lot of hits in the ribs and also to maximize his size and power advantage. I'm interested to see how he pans out this year.

The only time Brandon Jacobs has been a featured back was at the Division I-AA level.

^^^^^^ Um, yeah same story as the following players:
1. Marques Colston - runner up to Vince Young for the Rookie of the Year award last year. 2. Larry Allen - future hall of fame offensive lineman 3. Walter Payton - arguably the best running back ever, and 2nd on the all-time rushing list 4. Jerry Rice - holds every single receiving record imaginable and some would say could be the greatest football player of any position ever.
--Not saying Jacobs will be as good as any of these guys, but I think it's ignorant to write him off just because he comes from a smaller school. Where a guy played his college ball means nothing.

^^ true...look at all the first round picks that have been busts..what you did in college and where you played it really means nothing..either way you still have to prove yourself at the nfl level.
