On 99% of horror DVD's out today it has the word "Unrated" or "Uncut" plastered in large letters on it. This is getting annoying, especially since on most of them, you only get like 3 seconds of extra footage! Why not just release them all unrated, but not use it as a cheap tactic to get more sales?

i like when companies like the asylum do it..as if they have any other versions of it anyway..and then when you watch it its no worse then an "R" rating at the most

The only reason this bothers me is that they're only doing it for new movies. Scream still hasn't gotten an Unrated Director's Cut yet, because this trend didn't start 'til around 2003. And I'm looking to seriously replace my current R-rated DVD.

The only time I've found it necessary to pick up an "unrated" version of a movie is if I'm a big enough fan of the movie that I feel i "need" to own it.

Newer movies?
And...we are talking about the movies that will come out in 2 versions almost simultaneously, aren't we?

Yeah, the DVD's that come out in both "Unrated" and "rated" versions, even though there's hardly a difference between the two.

I hate that Especially since usually the only difference between the unrated and the R version is, like, a split second of blood footage or something. That's why I never go out of my way to pick up the unrated anything from a newer film. If they're out of unrated, oh well, rated will be pretty much the same experience.

Yeah it's pretty much like adding an "X-treme" to the title of a video game or other lame merchandise. Unfortunately, most modern day consumer cows fall for it more times than not.

Biscuit and Lazario, always arguing. You two remind me of Archie Bunker and Mike from "All in the Family".

Well, you could say that. But at least I'm not a TROLL who fights with people on purpose and calls people stupid names just to cause trouble.

It does, however, anger me that biscuit is "uncomfortable" around gay people.

And if I am/were gay, that is none of his business. But yeah, I imagine if I weren't gay, I would be upset by him too. But on message boards, what he is saying is still spam and hate-speech. And should not be tolerated. In any way.
