Friday the 13th 4, right? I first saw it when I was a little kid (guess I was 7 or 8), and it still makes me cringe.
btw, very nice. ^.^

Yeah, it's part 4. I'm surprised the MPAA didn't edit that scene.

I guess I am too. But, part 4 has the most onscreen gore. So 1984 was a pretty laidback year for them, clearly.
I don't remember when I saw part 4 but the special effects are incredible. If it weren't for them, the movie wouldn't be scary at all.

Exactly. When Jason's head slides down that machete...jeez, that was just shocking. They should've ended the series there.

Exactly. When Jason's head slides down that machete...jeez, that was just shocking. They should've ended the series there. But... but... but... if they did, we wouldn't have parts 6, 7, and 8 which are awesome. And I really like part 5. So...

I like those too, but I think pt. 4 would make a great cap off to the series.
By the way, I'm surprised you liked 5 and 8. Those are considered the worst, but they're my favorites.

I like 5, but 8...well I'll watch 8 if it's on TV or something, but it's almost my least favorite of the series. I think only Jason X and Jason Goes to Hell are the only two I dislike more. 3 and 7 are probably my favorites, but a lot of fans despise part 3.
Even though 6 was great, I kind of wish they had of continued the storyline from part 5. Lets face it. 6 made Jason into a zombie, and he has always been brought back in pretty stupid ways ever since. Having another human take over again would have been more realistic, and Tommy was the logical choice. He was extremely disturbed, and traumatized from his encounter with Jason, and the second encounter with someone he thought was Jason pushed him off the deep end. I think the series wouldn't have turned into the joke it is now, had they left Jason human.

Jason X was terrible. Terrible, ugly, dispicable and reprehensible to my tastes. Jason Takes Manhattan was great, it's been one of my favorites since childhood.
I'm glad they decided to turn our beloved mass murderer into a zombie. I mean, how could you want five sequels about copycat killers? Plus, it would've been way too predictable to have Tommy be the new killer.

By the way, I'm surprised you liked 5 and 8. Those are considered the worst, but they're my favorites. Well about 7 months ago or something, I had a post about how good I think the movie is-part 8. It's technically the best film of the series. Regardless of how it satisfies the fans. Plus, the fans are too picky. You noticed that? I mean, after part 8 that's when it's okay to be picky. Because they really changed him and the formula way too much. They turned it into more than a zombie film and more than a monster movie. They kind of turned it into a goddamn Troma gross-out movie, really. Too much stupid humor and idiot characters, too silly, too many dumb in-references, ... Well I think we all know the infinite faults of Jason Goes to Hell. No need to recap. But part 5 is just fun.

Exactly. I think part 8 had a good balance of humor and horror. Part 5, despite being entirely predictable, was hugely entertaining as a slasher film.
By the way, was New York really that bad in the late 80's? It seems like they exaggerated it.

I think parts of it were. But overall, I don't think they exaggerated at all.

I changed it again. It took a while to find this one, but it's WAY more gruesome.

Great scene in that movie. Truly unforgettable. Well... great "part" of that scene. It always bothered me that she is able to fend him off after she fell on the floor with just a few light kicks, punches, and screams.

What program do you use to make avatars? I've tried a few freeware programs before, but couldn't get the animations to work right, or resize them correctly. It could just be that I suck though.
