Don't judge a book by it's cover. That guy could be intelligent, kind, and fun to be around. Besides, I'm an animal lover. And you'll find most other people are too. Now, if there was a UFO in the background... that'd be different.

He could be nice. But he could also be a goat-loving rube. Judging by the scenario, I'd lean towards the latter. Besides, don't you think you're reading a little too much into the topic here? This isn't a movie review................

Judging by the scenario, I'd lean towards the latter. Besides, don't you think you're reading a little too much into the topic here? Point taken. I just think this picture is touching in a way. Goats are cute. Any picture that tries to take our minds off of the goat stereotypes is fine by me. And I don't get how you can find so much suggestion in a picture implying nothing. He could be nice. But he could also be a goat-loving rube. What is your fascination with the word "rube"? I haven't heard that word effectively applied to a person since Aladdin.

If you'd rather I use the term "hoople" just say so.................or maybe you'd prefer "hick?" "Hayseed?" lol What's your preference?

That guy doesn't look like a hick to me. And I think the term "hayseed" is almost being nice, to say about anyone. But seriously, "rube" is outdated.
And I'm sure I wouldn't say anything about these pictures, if you didn't keep using them against other people mentioned on this board. It's like you're asking for me to give commentary on them. Maybe from now on, you'll think a little bit more before you do that.
If not... then I think that guy in the picture looks like a million different people on Earth, few of whom I'd describe as Hicks.

Well at least I don't judge everyone based on pictures of them. People like you are why there is so much hate in this country.

Yeah, I guess that's why I have a gay African-American roommate from Kenya. It's because I'm soooooooooo judgemental. Please....... Push your p.c. agenda somewhere else. I'd argue that people that are as touchy about everything as you seem to be are the REAL problem with the country as it stands this very moment. That, my friend, is not only judgement, it's also being completely self-righteous.

Do you know anything about Judgmental people? They aren't judgmental of everyone - just of people THEY DON'T KNOW. You may be worse than just judgmental. You're judgmental and Two-Faced! Because you "accept" people you have to know and anyone you don't know, you make stuff up about. Or you believe in popular stereotypes. Which IS judgmental!

That's unfair. Just think what people would say if they were asked to judge a picture of you. If this picture had been a guy chugging moonshine with a confederate flag wrapped around his torso, holding a shotgun, with a hat that says "Bush is God"... I couldn't disagree.

You obviously have no idea what you're talking about- that statement is made for the DREAM WORLD we don't live in. Right now, there ARE no equal rights. So the idea of special treatment is to EVEN up the score since we don't have equal rights right now.
Did you need me to explain that to you?

Post by Evil Dave on Sept 23, 2007 6:32:23 GMT -5
You're wrong. Special treatment is bullshit. All it does is make people soft and feel entitlement to bitch every time they get a hangnail. That's what leads to all these frivalous lawsuits and "victim mentality" thinking. In other words, my quote translates to: Everyone deserves the same chances to sit at the same table, but NOBODY gets a damn booster seat!
