Brash Entertainment annouced they will be doing video game adaptations of many hit movies, one of them being the "Saw" series. I don't think it would work, mostly because video game adaptations usually suck. I guess we'll just have to see once the game hits stores. Below is one article about the project www.horror-movies.ca/horror_8343.html

Okay... This is the world of New Video Games. A world where I don't speak the language. But, I'll bet somebody likes it when it comes out.

i can see it as a game where it sets the new bar as far as violence in a video game.. but it is true that video games based on movies usually suck pretty bad.. if done right tho it might make for a good game

Yes, videogames based on movies generally do suck. However, I think a Saw game might actually have the potential to be interesting if they play their cards right. Especially with all the traps and stuff....they could really get creative with those.
(Slightly off-topic, but one game based on a movie that definitely does NOT suck: the GameBoy Advance version of the 'Monster House' videogame. I've been playing that thing for almost a year now and I'm still not finished. It's that challenging. ;D)

I'm not a fan of James Bond at all, but Goldeneye 007 for the N64 is one standard all first person shooters would like to live up to. It's up there with Doom, and Duke Nuke'em as far as FPS goes. On the other extreme of the spectrum there's ET: snopes.com/business/market/atari.asp

*Snerk* ;D My oldest brother had a copy of that ET game, and I don't think he ever played it (our Atari was on its last legs by the time I was old enough to play videogames, so I'm pretty sure I never played it either). It sat untouched in my family's Big Box Of Videogame Stuff for about 10 years until my mom finally donated the cartridges in the box to Goodwill.

I was thinking, there's a chance it may work on the Nintendo DS. You could use the stylus to drag assorted parts together to create a custom death trap, then choose from a small collection of people to abduct and place in the trap.
