This word is not very nice. But I also feel that it lost a lot of its meaning when it became a part of everyday language of certain cultures. If it is that bad a word, why is it so wide-spread? If only "honky" was considered a no-no...

There's no reason for a white person to ever say the word. So, that means - there is no issue.

Once again, it's all about context. Words by themselves aren't bad, it's the manner in which they're used.

We're still talking about the word as though there were some reason to use it.
There is no reason for a white person to need to use it.

^^^How many close friends have you ever had that were actually black? I'm guessing not too many, because I've had plenty and I've referred affectionately to them with the word "nigga", as they have to me with terms like "cracka." It's not a big deal because we're friends and it's all in good fun. You actually could say that it's a method of us showing soliderity and friendship towards one another because both parties know that only someone that the other party considers a friend would be allowed to say that to them. Anyone else would be wearing their ass for a hat..............................
So, for the MILLIONTH time, it's not about WORDS, it's about CONTEXT! Try taking off your P.C. Badge for ten seconds and actually using your brain in any further response, as it seems you're just recanting rhetoric you've heard somewhere rather than basing your rebuttles on any actual life experiences. (And don't lay your "homosexuality trip" on me either, as I have friends that are gay/lesbian, and we joke back and forth the exact same way that I do with my African American friends. WOOT!)

^^ agree 100%...could not have been said better
any of the black people i used to hang out with or work with i used to call nigga..they called me either nigga or cracka or white boy..it was all in good fun tho..we all knew we were cool with each other so it was really no big deal..
i also used to work with this gay guy..i liked him alot he was pretty funny and we got along good..but he would always joke about himself being gay as would i..like one time i cut myself and he said " want me to kiss it an make it better" i knew he was joking so i said stop being so gay in a joking way..there were plenty of other times where i would rip on him for being gay..but he knew i was joking and we were cool so its really no big deal
not everyone is 100% serious all the time like you laz..

Totally agree. When you make the words more taboo, it peaks people's interests. What about Don Imus?I heard what he said and it was taken way out of context.

^^^How many close friends have you ever had that were actually black? Two. Trish and Nathan. I've referred affectionately to them with the word "nigga", as they have to me with terms like "cracka." There is a huge difference between the two words. It's a fact. You may choose to ignore that with your group of friends, but you're in for a rude awakening if you think calling anyone that, even most people who could become acquaintances, would fly in/at most places. So, for the MILLIONTH time, it's not about WORDS, it's about CONTEXT! There is not time for context in the world we live in. Only with people you know. Now, use your brain for 2 seconds- what percentage of the world's population do you know?? Now, yes or no, should you use the word with most people? And you can choose not to reply at any time. You have the freedom to do so.

Of course I only use it with my friends and not with people I meet and interact with on a casual day to day basis. That's the point I've been trying to make dipshit! It IS okay to use it sometimes. That was the whole purpose of this debate we've gotten in here, remember?! So you've basically talked yourself in such a gigantic circle that you've now proven my point for me! THANKS!! There's not TIME for context in the world we live in? Do you even know the meaning of the word CONTEXT? It's not something that you can choose to happen or not. It exists all on it's own and is everywhere you look. Reality, movies, television, music, the list goes on and on. Seriously, buy yourself a dictionary and put it to some use. You just sound retarded at this point.....................

That's the point I've been trying to make dipshit! You're Dipshit. Don't forget it: King Dipshit. It IS okay to use it sometimes. In your head, maybe. There's not TIME for context in the world we live in? Do you even know the meaning of the word CONTEXT? Not enough people like the word to make it acceptable. That's the truth. So, get over it already. I don't know what it's like to be you. You don't give a damn what it's like to be anyone else. But - that word will never be acceptable with most people. So, since you don't care - fuck how you decide it's okay to use it. Why would you brag about it? Because you think you're better than everyone else? You just sound retarded at this point.... To you, King Dipshit, maybe. But, just go out there and ask most intelligent people if it's an okay word to use. I dare you.

There is no reason for white people to use the word. Ever. Ask most white people, ask most black. You'll get the same answer.

Dave - you are literally the most self-deluded person I know. Right now, you just took over the #1 spot from my Mother, the 51-year old woman who smokes 3 packs a day, drinks a 12 pack every day, takes 8-14 ailment pills every day, spends a total of 7 hours awake per day, uses an inhaler... and still thinks she'll live to see her first grandchild graduate high school (my brother's straight).
