I read that article like 3 months ago. I agree with some of it. I don't remember what I didn't agree with.
As for this new version of Nightmare on Elm Street... I hate to have to say it but, did anyone ever see Armageddon? That's Michael Bay's handiwork and it is kind of wholly indicative of why movie-going audiences today have no brains. Feel free to disagree, me no care. I'm almost completely indifferent to the how and what and why of the genre coming out today. But, we all knew what we were getting into when Michael Bay got involved with remakes in the first place.
It's kind of like sending Duck L'Orange, done up real fancy, to McDonalds'. You know exactly what they're going to do with it.
