Just a quick update. This week's ep will be MST3K The Movie (This Island Earth). I've got a lil' work left to do on the clip/preview vid, and should have it up in the next day or so, followed of course by the full DVD rip of the movie sometime this weekend. Stay tuned...........

Yea I didnt know what to expect when I saw it for the first time. It's actually just like a regular episode except the production value is a lot higher (fancy opening, sets, sound, etc.). Other than that, it's still Mike & the Bots riffing away on a crappy Sci Fi movie, lol. You'll like it though----------it's got some of the better riffs from the entire series, plus, swearing, hahaha!

Grrrrrrrrr damn youtube is pissing me off (well NBC Universal to be exact)! I tried uploading clip vids for this about 27 different ways, but the damn video ID software keeps flagging it as copyright infringement for NBC. Fuckers, lol. Oh well, I took 'em over to Yahoo vids and got them up no problem. Here's the links: Part 1: video.yahoo.com/watch/4505531/12072495Part 2: video.yahoo.com/watch/4505629/12072653Anyways, I'll upload the full DVD rip tonight and post the download links here sometime tomorrow.

^^^Blue screen crap again already??? Shit man, I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news.........but I think your hard drive is worn out. Happened to me a few years back-------system kept failing when dl'ing so I wiped it clean and a week later it was doing the same thing. Eventually realized my drive was fried. What happens is when a drive is old/worn out/faulty The little gizmo that physically moves to read the data can't keep up with the information being written to the disk so the data gets all corrupted or skipped and your O.S. gets all confused and locks up. That's why it's happening when you try to d'load. The new information trying to be written to your disk is screwing up all the sectors and causing the dreaded blue screen of death. Wiping the system clean seems like it fixes it, but it won't last because the only reason it works after you wipe it clean is that the files aren't fragmented. Once you downloading things and using your computer for a while and the files on your drive fragment it will crash again because now the disk has to look harder to find your file info. There's really no way to really fix it other than to go out and pick up a new drive. Don't feel bad though, when people spend a lot of time d'loading big files like you and I do, it wears the disk considerably faster than for people who just use their comp to jackoff and read email, lol. Anyways, after this happened to me I spent about a week finding some programs to help this situation from occurring in the future. If you decide to replace your drive, let me know when you have the new one installed and I'll PM you some links to get these programs so that your new drive will last a long time.

Anyways, here's the links to download the full movie for you or anyone else that's interested: INSTRUCTIONS:**The movie is contained within a series of .Rar files. You will need to download ALL of the .Rar files in the series and save them all to the SAME folder. If you fail to do this, the movie will not be able to be extracted correctly as each .Rar runs off the previous one in the series to decrypt the movie file correctly. You will also need the password to be able to open the .Rar files. I'm not posting the password here due to privacy protections. Send me a PM asking for it and I'll write you back as to what it is. Only registered members of the board will be given the password. So if you're a guest, SIGN UP!** Now here are the steps for anyone not familiar with dealing with .Rar files: 1. Click on each link given to download that particular .Rar file in the series. You will be taken to the lix.in protection page. 2. Click "continue to Rapidshare.com" to go to the download page (I use rapidshare.com because it is the most popular file hosting site, thus more people will already have accounts there. You can still download the file if you don't have an account, but it will take much longer as your download speed is limited and you can only download 1 file at a time. I suggest opening an account as it's only like 6 bucks a month. Movie files like mine can be fully downloaded in about 5-10 minutes for people with accounts, where as for free users it will probably take you a couple hours or so. So the $6/mo fee is worth it if you plan on downloading a lot of files there. 3. Choose either "free" or "member" download link. 4. Click "download" and choose where to save the file. Remember to save all the .Rar's to the SAME location! 5. AFTER downloading ALL the .Rar's, find the location where you saved them to. You will need a program that can read/open .Rar archives. Programs like Winzip or other zip file readers WILL NOT work! I recommend using WinRAR as it's the fastest, easiest to use, and is free to download. If you dont already have this program, google it and find a link to download and install it. 6. Find the 1st .Rar file in the series and double click to open it with WinRAR (or whatever other program you've chosen to use). You will now be prompted to enter the password. Enter it EXACTLY as it was given to you. If you haven't already done so, you will need to ask me for it (All my archives are made in a solid state and totally encrypted, so dont even bother trying to figure out decrypting them without the password. It's impossible). 7. After entering the password, you will see the contents of the entire .Rar series. Choose your destination for the movie to be extracted to, and click "extract." 8. The movie will begin to be extracted to your chosen location. Wait a minute or so for it to finish, and that's it! The movie is now yours to watch, burn, edit or whatever. Enjoy! **My archives are made with a recovery record. If one of the .Rar's ever becomes corrupted by a computer crash or bad burn to a CD or DVD, just use Winrar to open the recovery record and it will rebuild the sectors as good as new.** **DO NOT duplicate my archives as your own and post them anywhere on the internet without my permission. There is a lot of work and risk for me making these archives and I take many measures to make sure they are protected. Therefore I do not want them posted anywhere where they are not secure or the wrong people may see them. If you wish to repost the movies that's fine. Just make sure you make YOUR OWN archive and upload it somewhere under your name before posting it anywhere else.** Any questions or problems feel free to PM me anytime. I'm happy to help out always. Also, it takes a lil' time and work on my part to get these up, so if you enjoy the movies send me a thanks sometime and let me know. Have fun!

^^^^ Just a little info for ya--------I upgraded my laptop hard drive recently and it was only like 60-70 bucks online. Not sure if you have a laptop or desktop or if you have the extra cash on hand, but if you look around they're actually kinda cheap. Hell, even if you don't have the money, tell your parents you need a new one so you can use your cpu to do some job-hunting, lol. ;D Oh, if you decide to buy one online, make sure you check if your drive is SATA or PATA. If you order the wrong kind it won't connect to your computer and once you open the package they can be a bitch to try to return.

Oh yeah, removing/installing the hard drive is a very easy process. You dont need any special cpu knowledge at all. If you can turn a screwdriver, then you can replace/install a hard drive. 1. Turn the screws out of your cpu's outer case and remove. 2. Locate your hard drive. 3. Remove the retainer screws that hold the drive in place (usually 2-4) 4. Gently pull the drive loose of its connection. 5. Most (but not all) drives will have a case over the top to protect it from electrostatic damage. Remove that (another 2-4 screws) and mount it the same way to your new drive. 6. Gently connect the new drive to your computer. 7. Reinstall the retainer screws to keep the drive in place. 8. Reinstall the cover to your cpu. It's really really easy trust me. All the screws you'll need to remove are in plain sight so don't worry if you dont know exactly where they are at first, you'll see them right away once you get your cpu open. The only thing you have to watch out for is electrostatic damage (like when you walk on carpet with socks and then touch someone and give them a "shock"). But as long as your careful it won't happen. Just make sure: 1. Don't let the drive connection touch your fingers or anything metal, or anything else that could possibly be a conductor of electricity. In short, don't touch the connection at all, lol. 2. Don't work in an area where there's any carpet. Solid surfaces only. 3. Wear some shoes with a good rubber sole just to be safe. Other than that just use common sense. Make sure your cpu is unplugged from any power sources or devices, make sure your work surface and hands are extremely clean, and for god sakes dont drop anything, lol. Pretty basic type stuff. Oh and the only tool you'll need is a small phillps head screwdriver. And I mean smaller than average, the screws for the hard drive are very tiny. So make sure you put them in a safe place once you have them out, 'cuz if you drop one you're gonna be looking for a good long while until you find it. Well that's it. I know I'm typing a lot here, but it's really not as complicated as I'm probably making it sound. Just think of it as replacing a battery or light bulb in something. That's all the expertise you'll need. Now, this is the important part if you're gonna order a new drive online-------knowing whether to buy a SATA drive or a PATA drive. The connector is what determines what type you have. This pic does a pretty good job of showing the difference: To see what kind you have, just open up your cpu case and locate the drive. Now remember most (but not all) cpu's have a plastic case of some kind covering the drive. If yours has one, remove the drive and take the cover off. Now you can see the label showing the specs of your drive. Read it carefully and it should say whether its PATA or SATA. If it doesn't say for some reason (i dont know why it wouldnt) just compare your drive to the pic i posted here. It's pretty easy to tell. Also, while you have the label visible, this would be a good time to grab a pad of paper and write down all the specs of your drive. That way when you go to shop for one online you can compare the specs to make sure you're buying a drive that is equal to or greater than the one you're replacing. No sense wasting money on a drive that's not as big or fast as the one you're replacing. Now, when some people are shopping for a new drive they make a crucial mistake. The only thing they look at is price and size. Make sure you look at the drive speed as well. A lot of really big drives might be cheaper, but that's because they are slower. Remember that if the slower the drive is, the longer it takes to read file info so it has a big effect on how fast your cpu will run. For example: Say one drive is 300 GB, runs at 5400 rpm, and costs $75 dollars. Another drive is only 200 GB and costs $90, but runs at 7500 or 9000 rpm. It might be tempting to buy the first drive because it is bigger and costs less, but the second drive is the better buy because while it might have 100 GB less size, it is gonna run WAY faster. Trust me, you don't wanna sacrifice speed for size. It's not worth it. Just something for ya to think about. If that sounds like too big a hassle to do, you can always just go to your cpu manufacturer's website and look for an exact replacement of the drive you have now for you cpu model. All the major brands sell replacement parts of all kinds as let's face it, cpu's break a lot, lol. The only downside of that is that you'll probably pay $20-$30 dollars more at those sites than you would buying it off of an independent cpu hardware site. If I remember right, I think I bought my last drive from www.4allmemory.com/ . They had good selection, competitive prices, and I had it 3 days after I ordered it. I guess I was shopping for laptop drives though, so Im not sure what they've got for desktop cpu's but it'd probably be a good place for you to start looking. Anyways, hope all this info helps ya out. If you have anymore questions feel free to ask.
