yep and every1 here judged it as a good episode..stop trying to twist your words..
I'm not. I said: of people online at all sources, if you combine everyone who saw the episode, 75% (at least) said they think the episode sucks.
That's what I said. So, this board... Is just 1 out of probably a hundred or so. You have to see the big picture here. Just because You're here or anyone else is here...doesn't make this place any more important.
you throw a little baby fit whenever me or dave prove you wrong..
You didn't prove me wrong. You tried to prove what you thought I said wrong. But you didn't even do that.
and dont say we didnt because the whole board did..
Bullshit. The whole board does not represent the entire online horror community. This board is one in probably a hundred or more online horror communities. So therefore, there are clearly a lot of people and points of view that are missing.
And Dave, if you don't like that - Deal With It. I'm not going to check everything I say before I say it, okay? You don't, Tsmooth doesn't, Piggsy, Biscuit, Lowkey, May... nobody does. Therefore, I won't either. If you don't like it- Deal With It. We all hear things we don't want to. Part of life.
the board likes it and you try coming with your bullshit how they didnt give a long enough explanation as to why they liked it..stop being so pathetic..you cant always be right
I'm not always right. Nor do I pretend to be. Again, you just don't like what I have to say, so you twist the Meaning of what I say around to fit someone else who IS pretending to be superior and a know at all. That is not
actually me.
Take the time to really
think about that before replying to it. I've already said: I'm the kind of person who 98% of the time, when I mean something - I say it directly.
If I thought I was better than everyone else here - I would not be here. I would not talk to you. I would not explain things, share my opinions or my insight at all... If I thought I knew everything, I would have no reason to talk about anything.
TS and Dave have a point Lazario! They are clearly trying to reason with you and you have to make a fool out of yourself by making a remark like this
You're jumping in a level of water that you don't know how deep or shallow it is. That's because you haven't been talking about this as long as we have. There are a lot of things you missed, Chucky. So you can't come at this, like this, right now. You have to start from the beginning or make your own beginning.
I suggest you rethink your thesis and come back when you have decided that us so called idiots and kids are among the company you wish to be around.
However... I will answer this one: if you were to go back to the beginning, I think you would understand why you can't say that. I am one of the very first people to become a regular on this board. These people should know me better by now. Now...I think there's a chance they can finally understand. Or else, again, I would just not waste my time. But I don't consider this a waste of my time. Because, part of it is their time. They need to know that if they try to pay attention, we'll get somewhere. But this will go around in circles if they keep accepting their version of what I'm saying, as what I'm saying.
you are entitled to your opinion.
Um... as you are yours.
When you're talking about your opinion.
The difference this time is that you basically inferred that every member here is inferior to you when it comes to horror and that they aren't true horror fans.
Don't be funny- do you think you know what a true horror fan is? I'm not sure there is such a thing. Again, you're thinking I'm saying something I'm not.
Yes, there is some truth to me saying that there is a difference between what we all see. Some of us do know horror better than others. That's because some of us separate our own personal likes and dislikes from what we view in a horror movie.
How do you think you can really know horror well if you use only what you like and don't like to judge it?? Think about it.
Here's an example of the sharpness of your expertise, I hope you remember it: when we were discussing Halloween... you held Jamie Lee Curtis's performance, running and screaming, against the movie... why? You said it was because Marilyn Burns in Texas Chainsaw Massacre did it better. Guess what? I agreed. She was better. But these are two
totally different movies. You basically said she was a detriment to Halloween because she didn't run and scream and look the same way Marilyn Burns did...in a different movie. And I had to tell you, I actually had to say: what works for one movie doesn't have to work the same way in another movie for that movie to be as good. If you actually meant what you said... you were holding just about the most arbitrary and absurd thing against a movie that you could have.
Now, you're going to sit there with a straight face and tell me we both know horror the same??? How could that possibly be? You don't see all the same things about the same movies that I do. And Halloween works as one of the best horror films of the entire 1970's decade regardless of Jamie Lee Curtis's running and screaming ability. Do you know why that is? Because now, you forgot that it's the director and cinematographer's job to shoot her the right way. And if you paid as close attention as I did - you would see that what you indicated didn't hurt the movie at all. But I believe you claimed it did.
Please keep that in mind the next time you try to play That card.
But it
does not give you the right to question the validity of their opinions concerning the horror genre.
I don't remember questioning that. I simply said they were wrong. It's got nothing to do with love of an individual movie.
That is hitting below the belt and completely disrespectful to everyone else here who takes the time to stop by and post and have a good time doing so.
There's a little more to talking about things than 'having a good time'. Besides... do you and T remember the first time I talked about Sq
uirm here? You attacked me the very first time I said it was a good movie. You insulted me, told me you were superior to me, and said everything I think and say is wrong. I didn't have a good time during that. Did you? Take a little bit of your own medicine once in a while.
A message board should be a fun place to relax and share thoughts with people with similar interests, and the negativity your comments are bringing here simply should, and will not be tolerated. Keep it respectful and there shouldn't be anymore problems.
Look - we all say things others don't want to hear.
You say whatever comes to your mind without thinking about how it will affect the other/another person. So, again- take your own advice before lecturing me. Or make sure that when you Make a Rule, you're not breaking it somehow. And also realize...you can't break it to get revenge on someone who you think already broke it. My Wrong doesn't make what you do Right, if you're doing the same thing.
..i dont know how many times i have told you laz not to turn it into a competition on who knows more..
Okay -
MAYBE I AM. A little bit. Yes I am admitting it. But, the fact is, I am not actually putting any pressure on you to be a better horror fan. That's the line I won't cross. I'm just saying you're wrong.
Sometimes.
But I've sent you a message every step of the way that you shouldn't Flip Out about it. Everytime I said, "you can ignore this," I was saying it doesn't matter who is better. It only matters Who Is Right.
I care about Who Is Right but not whether being right or wrong makes either of us better. That's the part I leave out that you put in. I don't care who is better. My compulsion is simply to say what's right WHEN I KNOW what is right. And never at any other time. I know it feels like a weapon sometimes. But I don't use it to piss other people off. That just... comes with the territory.
And if the only way I can keep that from happening is to say nothing... Well, I prefer to not go that route.
he likes the original TCM..
Because it is one of the greatest horror films ever made.
Because... you didn't like it's style. Or for reasons you are free to tell us about any time you want to. I'd love to know.
..on the other hand you come with some bullshit that TCM
IS a masterpiece
It is. That is a fact. I wouldn't argue about it if it weren't a masterpiece. I wouldn't say it if it wasn't true. It's not just about what I think. It's the truth, that's why I said it. I'm a huge horror fan and I take the title of "Masterpiece"
very seriously.
The only reason you say it's bullshit is because you don't like hearing it.
and im wrong or dont know horror..its old now and not true at all..
You're wrong when you say it's crap. But if you said: "I think it's crap," then you can be Right all you want to, because that is your opinion.
your not better then any1 here..
That's a very big statement. A lot of things are included in that, there are a lot of levels to it. Can you prove it's true? Until you can... I'll just say, I never said I was better than anyone else. Just different.
you dont know nearly as much about horror as you think..
Bullshit. You just don't know what I think because you've been making so much up this whole time, hoping I would stop saying things you didn't want to hear. But again... just because you don't like hearing them doesn't make them any less true. Just the same as the fact you don't like hearing them doesn't make them any more true, either.
Some things I say are just opinion. And some are cold, hard facts. Deal With It.
but i have told you this many times and always get the same bullshit answer
It's not a bullshit answer - you just wish it were, so you say it and hope it's true.
