Evil Dead 2: This was supposed to be a direct sequel, but Sam Raimi didn't have the rights to do a sequel, so he filmed it as more of a quasi-remake. It's superior to the original in every way It is not superior to the original Evil Dead! The Evil Dead is a horror film, Evil Dead 2 is a comedy. Evil Dead is damn scary. Dead by Dawn is goofy. Evil Dead has imagery you'll never forget and atmosphere thicker than Carpenter's early horror films. Evil Dead 2 has more FX and is not better for it. The Henrietta zombie/demon is not superior to the Cheryl zombie/demon. The Linda-ballet zombie/demon is not superior to the Linda "we're gonna get you!" zombie/demon! The only thing Evil Dead 2 did better than the original was you saw the living trees and the camerawork zooms around more - which is cool, but not scary like it was in the original. Sorry, Lowkey - no sale.

the evil dead was a cheesy comedy, it was filmed at a good place to make a true horror movie and it had good atmosphere and some good horror scenes, but it also had alot of cheesiness and comedy that didnt work which pretty much ruined all of that

It was not comedy - it was a series of gags. Like Peter Jackson did for Bad Taste. And the gags in The Evil Dead did NOT ruin the atmosphere, the scares, or the look of the film.
In fact, if you weren't nailed to the back of your chair in a cold sweat... you didn't watch the film properly.

i watched it the only way i can, with my eyes, i just found it dumb and cheesy, the cheesiness didnt work, because the movie didnt know what it wanted to be, it tried to be cheesy and scary at the same time, like i said it had a very very good setting and great atmosphere but for me as a viewer it was ruined by the cheesy parts

Well, let's just look at the facts. Anyone who thinks Saw is great and The Evil Dead is not has more a few unresolved issues with horror, film itself, and maybe even themselves.

no, i just like movies with great twist endings and dont care for movies that try to be serious one second and then cheesy the next

Okay - so you don't even like Saw. Just the twist ending. But T, they were chained to the wall by their feet. It doesn't matter if they had known about the body or not. If they tried to get him, he would have either shot them with the gun or electrocuted them with the zapper thing. Remember?

well i wouldnt say i didnt like it,i did like it, but it wasnt anything terribly new or original, except for the ending of course
and while what you say may be true, after the guy cut his leg off he could have caught jigsaw off guard and bashed his head in before he had time to react, he he had known he was alive and behind it all

T - when was the last time you watched the movie? He could BARELY drag himself over to hold onto the photographer guy. He could barely even TALK. How exactly was he going to bash someone to death?

yes i know, but had he known about it maybe he could have got the energy. ever hear about people lifting cars to save people??
sure he had no energy and prob would have not been able to do it, but he didnt know so he felt as if he was gonna make it out, like i said had he known he would have been in a different mindset and adrenaline would have taken over, and maybe just MAYBE he could have stopped him

yes i know, but had he known about it maybe he could have got the energy. ever hear about people lifting cars to save people?? Yes but those are not usually people wearing tourniquets with a newly severed limb! The blood in their bodies isn't usually completely draining from their upper body and/or settling down in their lower half. He would not have had enough blood circulating in the upper half of his body to lift much of anything! Adrenaline? Again, the guy had a makeshift tourniquet around his lower leg to keep from bleeding to death. It would be a miracle if he even survived the movie. Do you think he did?

no i dont think he would have survived to make it out, but i do think MAYBE he could have had enough in him to deliver a crushing blow to jigsaw, especially since he was in a vulnerable position, if i had to bet on it tho i would say that you are right there was prob nothing he could have done, but had he known i do think he atleast had a chance

Jigsaw would have noticed if someone was about to try and crush his head in.

Adrenaline would just have made matters worse. It speeds up the heart, which in this case would have just made him bleed to death that much faster.

that wouldnt matter considering it would only take a few seconds to bash his head in
