No, an attack is what you do constantly, going into topics that I'm not posting in and calling me "a girl," an idiot, a moron, etc.
All because you can't handle what I'm saying.
Did you ever stop to think maybe I wouldn't say these things to you (Tsmooth31) like this if you ever explained your "opinions" in any kind of detail? You never make what you're saying easy for anyone to understand. You can't attack masterpieces and good films in the horror genre with the kind of crackhead reasoning you often do.
if u respected people and there opinions then i wouldnt start anything with you, who the fuck cares why i like or dont like a movie, i can hate a movie because i didnt like the main characters name and that would be my opinion and you would need to learn to respect that, even if you loved the movie, as for squirm yes the pain character was prob even more of a sissy then you, but thats not why i hated it, the movie was just horrible, not one good thing about it

Lazario, you are officially my favorite person on the internet. Thanks. if u respected people and there opinions T - you have no opinions. Unless it has to do with trashing me. You never tell anyone your opinions. You say as little as possible about whatever we're talking about. Just because you want to be the one who wins something. You wait for your "opinion" to trigger me into "exploding," because you hope you can twist what I'm saying around into Me Disrespecting Everyone. But the truth of the matter is - I respect an opinion I can wrap my brain around. When there's some actual detail in that opinion, or something personal - than an opinion that is different than my own becomes something I can understand. I understand a good discussion. But your thing is to always say "ehh, whatever," basically. As little as possible. How can you expect anybody to respect that? Especially when what you say is so damn radical all the time. I'm not kidding. You say so many things that make me twist my head around to make sure I've got it on right. I do so many double-takes when I talk to you, it's like I'm a siamese twin and I didn't know it 'till I came here. Is it any wonder I'm always talking about what's wrong with you? I have to think about what's going on inside your head. Which I'll never figure out - because you don't explain anything. An opinion in my book is more than just, "I like it," "I don't like it," "you're stupid." Anyone can say that. Plus, you tell me your opinions like they're facts too. You've done it since I've been here. So don't tell me I act like I'm superior. You do it too. So did Dave. So did Biscuit. Everyone here says their opinions like they're facts. So you can't be the one to tell me anything about myself. Maybe you can learn from this, T. Learn to think more. It really doesn't hurt your head. It makes it feel better. It makes us all better people. as for squirm yes the pain character was prob even more of a sissy then you Gee, you're insulting me again. Why am I not surprised? Maybe it's because you're a lame, moronic douche-bag. Two can play at that. I'm no sissy. I'm gay. There is a difference. But you wouldn't understand it because you're a lame, moronic douche-bag. the movie was just horrible, not one good thing about it Well... That's your " opinion." But it's wrong.

laz just because i like to keep my opinions short and sweet doesnt make them mean any less then yours, i know you like to break down every aspect of the movie and thats fine, but not everyone has to do that, my opinion is mine just as your opinion is yours, they both mean the same thing

Okay.
But do not criticize the way I talk about movies and I won't insist I'm always right.
It'll be one of those amazing trade-off things. Like, "Let's Make a Deal."

fair enough, i dont have a problem with the way you talk about them, i just have a prob when you act like im wrong for what i feel and think about a movie, we can argue, you can ask me why i feel a certain way all that is fine, just dont act like you are right and i am wrong, its really that simple

My only problem all along is that you could never look beyond what satisfied you as a viewer and think there might be something more to the movie that makes it great. Not just the list of things that make you happy as a viewer.
I used to be more like you. But I got more mature and more open as a viewer and it's been great. I get a lot more satisfaction understanding the movies as much as I do now than I ever did just watching and thinking about what bores me and what doesn't.
Like I think I've said before, my opinions on movies change over time. A lot of peoples' do. You seem to act like your first viewing was the only one you need and the movie will never get better over time. I understand very well that opinions do change when you learn more about the movie and you re-watch it and you mature as a viewer.
Plus, if you don't think more, online message board discussions are not really worth getting into. Why do I want to talk to someone about movies if they're not going to get into the themes and elements and what's going on in the movie? This is just another way of killing time. But it's rewarding to let movies do more than just entertain us.

well what you have to realize is that when i say a movie sucked or it bored me thats just my personal opinion, im not trying to make you agree with me
lets take squirm for instance, every single one of the characters annoyed the hell out of me, i just thought it was a very lame, boring annoying movie, no matter how many times i watch it its gonna still be the same lame, boring annoying movie to me... now you can tell me why and what you liked about it but you still have to respect how i felt about it too, when i say i think a movie that you liked sucks you seem to take it personal, i mean you can tell me why you dont agree with me thats fine, we can argue back and forth a little bit but as long as you dont act childish and act like what you think is a fact then i want come back with childish insults, now thats a fair enough plan right??

when i say i think a movie that you liked sucks you seem to take it personal Good point. And you're right. But now you know why. Because of what kind of shape the horror genre is in right now. Literally, the entire legacy of horror is not just being reversed - but it's being erased. Because of these remakes, we have a whole bunch of stupid fucking ignorant children saying all the original movies suck, and because of the same style of every new horror movie, these same morons don't respect any of the films that weren't made in the '90s or later. They're too busy fucking bitching about how low budget it is and how slow the pacing is. They're destroying horror. And look at how the DVD market is already shifting toward making these pieces of shit happier than us. Tons of companies are scaling back on releasing older horror films and instead, re-releasing every stupid Saw movie and everything like it into 400 different versions. Sure, we wouldn't want them to do that to us, but for instance- if those PS2/PSP discs or HD / Blu-Ray were/are the newest and best format for movies on DVD, the older horror films will take longer to come out than all these bullshit new movies and when the older films come out, they'll not get the attention the newer ones do. Because the idiots are told to only like what's new so the most successful titles are the shitty remakes and movies that are made to be just like them. as long as you dont act childish Excuse me, but nothing is more childish than you and Dave talking about me in every single topic you posted in, calling me a girl, an idiot, a moron, etc. I don't think you're qualified to tell me what I ever did was childish. and act like what you think is a fact Well, once you understand the context of the discussion and the standards of the topic in question, some things I say are facts. then i want come back with childish insults, now thats a fair enough plan right?? If you have a problem, I think you should just deal with what you don't like instead of acting up. Yeah you're acting decent now. But that could change at any time. If you're saying you expect me to change or else - I'm not budging. There's a lesson here for you to learn. Open yourself to it.

while most of that is true you have to realize not everyone is gonna like every movie, i like plenty of old movies from the 70's and 80's, TCM is just not one of them
Excuse me, but nothing is more childish than you and Dave talking about me in every single topic you posted in, calling me a girl, an idiot, a moron, etc. I don't think you're qualified to tell me what I ever did was childish.
like i said dont act like i dont know horror because i dont agree with you

I'm not going to respect what you think if you attack the greatest genre of filmmaking there's ever been. If you're going to talk shit about The Texas Chainsaw Massacre - explain what's wrong with it. Which You Still Have Not Done. It's not that boring a movie, not like you claim. Therefore, you're lying. It's not boring, so don't say it is. You can say you didn't like it. You can say you didn't get it. But considering the really bad place Horror is in right now, I won't let you attack a masterpiece. Especially since it's been remade.
Either explain yourself, in some kind of detail (one paragraph might work), or just stop replying in reference to the movie. Just say "I didn't like it" and let that be the end of it.
And by the way - how do I know whether or not you know horror if you don't explain yourself? Just think and give examples. You're not being graded. Don't feel like you're being pressured. Besides - like I've said a million times - you're the one making this difficult. Not me.
