No, I never saw that. Did you? Yeah. I have the DVD. It's about a girl who tries to force a photographer to admit he's a sexual predator. She drugs him, ties him up, then starts searching his house for proof that he raped a "missing" girl people are talking about. So at first, we don't know who's the bad person. The first time I saw it, I thought it was a great movie. But a lot of people hate the movie. A lot. But I haven't had a real discussion about why that is.

SPOILERS (for other people)
Very good question... No, he did what she claimed he did. He did it (raped and maybe killed the missing girl) with another guy. She tortured him (the other guy) first and he admitted to the crime and pointed her to the accomplice - Jeff (the photographer in the movie). It's just that at the end, he agreed to kill himself because he was afraid the girl he was in love with would find out, the one Hayley sent the E-Mail / Internet Message to. Hayley called it "a chance to redeem himself" - to kill himself to show he felt sorry for what he did to the missing girl. But he kept attacking Hayley and chased her around with a knife. Not because he was pissed that she was torturing him, but because he didn't want her to tell anyone what he did. So no - he was definitely as bad as he came off.
As for how good the movie is... It was well written, so I was at first really interested. Plus, I like girls getting revenge. But... the filmmakers said they were influenced by The Shield... As soon as I heard that, I knew something was off. I need to watch it again before I know how much is wrong. But I never thought it was a masterpiece.
However, the problem most people seemed to have with it was they're mad that a movie wanted to cut off a guys' genitals. But anyone knew he deserved it. So, I was happy to watch him being tortured.

But of course, there's a twist with that too...
I think some people thought the movie was trying to show us exactly how real sexual predators operate. I don't think that's the point. The point is how men blame women for how men are attracted to them. If a man wants to rape a girl, he blames the girl for that feeling because of how she's dressed and how she teases. Forget how: Britney Spears and Paris Hilton and Playboy and The Man Show and Girls Gone Wild and Baywatch and dozens of other popular entertainment sources where girls show skin and act like they have no brain contributes to how girls behave just to please men.
That's a very important and potent statement to make. But I'm not sure that's what the movie was doing. It just seemed like Hayley said a lot of important things. People simply shouldn't see her as a Cop or a Judge. She's just a girl getting revenge.
As for the movie's style - it's clearly more talk than action. No problem with that. The only problem is the actress. I do think hearing her talk that much, that the tone of her voice ended up trying to make her look like a bigger, more intimidating person. She yelled too much. But I guess that did present some kind of balance for the way she would then change her demeanor and start acting like a teenage girl again.
