This almost makes me want to watch Manos, if I didn't know better. It almost looks as good as the typical Hollywood crap: tinyurl.com/2chc7f

Lol, that CAN'T be the same movie! But like you lowkey, I definitely know better! Now I just fast forward through all the unwatchable crap to my favorite Torgo moments.

Everything Torgo did or said was funny. You can really tell he was stoned out of his mind during filming.

I've been wondering something. Is there a halfway decent movie in there somewhere? Sure the premise is generic, but could work well enough in competent hands. It might be fun to see someone re-make it. At least this is one case where the re-make couldn't possibly be worse than the original. It couldn't be worse even if someone tried to make it worse.

^^^ I suppose there could be. The storyline's no worse than most of the horror currently being made. The only difference is that those movies have an actual budget and someone who knows at least the basics of production. The only thing that they shouldn't tamper with is Torgo. He's perfection just as he is.

Yea, but the original Torgo killed himself shortly after the original was made. They'd have to find a replacement, and that would be hard. I don't think anyone else could do Torgo justice because they'd try too hard, and end up ruining it.

also heres his whole trivia Although it is not clear in the film Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966), his character, Torgo, is supposed to be a satyr, half man, half goat, which is why his knees appear to be misshapen. He designed the prosthetics himself with help from Tom Neyman, who played the Master in the film.
Michael J. Nelson portrayed his Torgo character on "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (1988) in multiple appearances.
According to Tom Neyman (The Master in Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966)), John Reynolds was wearing the prosthetics wrong, which caused him great discomfort and led to him becoming addicted to pain killers.
Took drama studies with Timothy Leary at University of California, Berkeley.
In 1998, there was a grass-roots effort among "Mystery Science Theater 3000" (1988) fans to try and get Reynolds a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his role of Torgo in Manos: The Hands of Fate (1966). Although the campaign failed, Reynolds' widow expressed her gratitude at the effort.
Is buried at Fort Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso, Texas.haha @ wearing the prosthetics wrong and trying to get him on the hollywood walk of fame

lol.
I really doubt he got addicted to painkillers that way. You don't become an addict like he was supposed to be over night. It was probably just an excuse to show up to work high. It was the 60s after all, so people didn't really think much about it if you told them youd been eating prescripition meds all day.
I always though it was funny to see the characters on Bewitched popping valium and chasing them with martinis. You definitely wouldn't see that on Network TV today.

I'm actually surprised the entire cast of Manos didn't end up committing suicide from pure shame.
