usually i have high hopes for a movie and feel let down..house of wax was the opposite..i expected garbage and got a enjoyable movie

usually i have high hopes for a movie and feel let down..house of wax was the opposite..i expected garbage and got a enjoyable movie Same. I was pretty shocked at how mean-spirited it was in parts. Two scenes I love was when he cut off the girl's fingers and then when the killer slowly steps on the guy's head, pushing it down onto the knife.

^^ yea i deff agree..it was pretty mean spirited in some parts..some scenes really surprised me..its actually been along time since i saw it..i need to check it out again

Paris couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag but that death scene was pretty kick-ass!Finding out that the guy who drove a couple of the characters to the town was in on it( maybe third brother?) was no biggie.

Well... I haven't seen the movie, but... John Carpenter actually said he was impressed with her performance in the movie.
Did she at least look really scared while she was being stalked??

She's completely forgettable up until the chase scene that ends with her disgustingly appropriate demise. She actually does look pretty damn scared during those scenes. So I guess I can see why Carpenter might have been impressed. As horror fodder goes, she did a nice job.
