!!New!!
Ominous Fog. As per usual! - Yep, we're walking through the forest, parking lot, etc., and a ridiculously thick and visible fog rolls in! Nobody sees it. Nobody worries about it. Nobody even friggin' mentions it! As a viewer all you can say is, "Gee, wonder if somethin' bad is about to happen?" Blech!!

i was looking back at our old ones..and in one we have a reference to the car not starting..but we dont really have a full topic dedicated to it..i feel it needs one.. Chug....chug....chug - The engine to my car wont start when i most need it to. Like when i'm about to get killed for example. Do care engines have a mind of their own and just like to f*ck with their owners? They're probably laughing the whole time as the hapless victim is frantically turning the key and only getting a chug chug chug. Seriously though instead of trimming the gore or nudity in a movie they should be forced to trim the dumb parts like cars not starting.

Hmmm, haven't added on to this for awhile................Here's a new one: Electricity: Marvel at it and all of it's BLUENESS! - Noticed this one the other day: Many a time has a baddy (or group of baddies) been sent back to hell via a nice flesh-searing electrical shock. And although electrocution is a gruesome way to check out, it doesn't make for a very visibly gory death. So what did the movie makers come up with? Make it BLUE! But why stop there? Along with making it blue, let's make it course up and down the body for maybe 30 - 60 seconds! And of course there must be a funny dance performed by he/she who is being fried. It's really quite silly, as in reality, being electrocuted does not last 1 minute, and is the current is definitely not visible to anybody who happens to be viewing it as it occurs. Also, if you watch closely, sometimes the person being zapped is either grounded or not in position to complete a circuit. Thus, they would have been fine anyways. But hey, it sure is fun watching 'em do that funny dance!

Lol, yeah I thought of this one after watching Return of the Living Dead 2 the other night. That group electrocution at the end was cheesy beyond words.

Yeah, I always see some when I watch a movie, but I always forget about it by the next time I log on here. I don't always have the best short term memory bank.

"And Now For Something Completely Different..." Main villain is able to rip people's heads off, chop people in two, etc. ....until he/she gets to the last person standing. Then they either bitch-slap the "hero" or throw the person into a shed/tool store /armory which ends up in the villain(99.9% of the time)meeting his demise. Please tell me that this isn't up already...

"Now you see them..." The killer manages to slaughter at least 3-5 people, chops off limbs, disembowels, filets, etc. But still has all the time in the world to clean up the huge mess and drag/carry said bodies into a hidden sanctuary of some kind(without getting seen,of course)!

"Cops Bring Victim" This is one I was never able to fathom. The last surviving Victim (usually a woman) escapes, makes it to the police, who rally up a posse....AND THEN BRING THE FUCKING VICTIM WITH THEM? Is this really standard police procedure? The killer ends up killing said posse and we're back at square one again. She takes off and is chased by maniac/monster. Which leads me to.....
"The Least Prepared Wins" OK, so you've got a black belt martial artist, a cop, a special forces operative, a super hero, a war robot (that can turn into a tank), hell, even the local high school jock. And the one that survives is......the stupid blond that works at the Dairy Queen! Her lifetime of buffing nails and putting out for popularity has prepared her for whatever earth shattering horrors are a-comin'. She is much more prepared to survive than the aforementioned....
A little long winded. Sorry. First post. Nice to meet you guys...

Well, about the "Cops" one... I don't see why so many horror films even want to involve the police at all. We have the police procedural film - it's called a "Thriller." Plus, there's the Noir film. And all that Cop garbage on TV. If we want to see something compelling about police... we have Law & Order, NYPD Blue, C.S.I., Crossing Jordan, The Shield, The Closer, and in the 1990's - we had Se7en, Copycat, Basic Instinct, Kiss the Girls, The Silence of the Lambs, Misery, etc. Why do we need to see police in every other horror film that comes out?
