It looks like the deal between my T'Wolves and the Celtics for Kevin Garnett is really gonna happen. As a former Minnesotan and Timberwolves fan I'm really sad to see The Big Ticket move on. Not only is he a great player talent wise, but he's a guy who does it the right way. He never complains, never puts himself before the team, is a big contributor to the community, and always handles his personal life with class. I was hoping if he did get dealt that it would be to an immediate contender as the Wolves never fully committed to getting him a chance at the title. But the Eastern Conference being what it has the last 5 years or so, you never know who's gonna represent the conference in the finals. I do like what the Celtics did in the offseason and they should be much improved. Who knows, maybe in a year or two K.G. will finally get his chance at a ring.
Anyways, just wanted to know what anyone else has to say about this big trade.

what i think is it leaves my guy ricky davis surrounded by crap again ...but for real i didnt think there was anyway he would be traded..it just seemed like he was gonna stick it out with the wolves no matter what..but the wolves do have alot of young potential talent so who knows..either way though i didnt think garnett would bail on the team like that..but its still not official yet ;D

Yeah, Kevin McHale has definitely got his hands full now. The wolves are gonna need their young guys to grow up real fast..........................I still don't understand why they decided to let Flip Saunders go as head coach either.
Oh yeah, and at least K.G. didn't end up with the Lakers. Sit on it and like it Kobe!

yea thats true..seeing him on the lakers with kobe would disgust me..although i cant really say i like the celtics..the thing that sucks about the celtics is they traded so much for allen and garnett they pretty much have to win the championship or they are a failure..at least in my eyes..cuz they got to older guys so clearly they are playing for right now..i dont see them winning it all though..allen and pierce i have a feeling at least 1 of them will get hurt and miss some time..and as good as garnett is..he disappears in the 4th quarter from alot of games.

They've definitely put their necks on the block by making the moves that they have this offseason. Better win quick or everybody's out of a job next June. Besides they've got so much cap room committed to those 3 guys that it'll be almost impossible to build much else by the way of key role players. Should be interesting to see how it all pans out.

i think they gave up way to much...5 players..4 of which are young and could turn out to be pretty good and 2 first round picks...thats just ridiculous..garnett is good but like i said he dissapears in the 4th...the allen trade i thought wasnt bad but had they kept all those young guys they wouldnt have been forced to win..they would be a team that could do bad or could surprise people and do good..now they are forced to win..and not just win but win it all
