HBO's Curb Your Enthusiasm. It's like the R rated version of Seinfeld. One of my favorites and the funniest comedy on television right now imo. I'm not sure what seasons are available on DVD, but 1 and 2 should be for sure.
Arrested Development. Well written and friggin' hilarious. Never should've been cancelled.
That 70's Show. I've seen every episode at least twice, but i'll never get tired of this show. Red Foreman is great.
Upright Cititzens Brigade. Didn't stay on the air for more than 2 seasons i think, but it's a great watch if you like dark sketch comedy. It was my favorite show Comedy Central ever made.
HBO's Deadwood. The most accurate depiction of the old west ever made. Brilliant writing with even more brilliant acting. Ian McShane as "Al Swearengen" is a must see. Such an addictive show and the best to ever come from HBO imo.
HBO's 'Oz'. Violent and visceral depiction of life inside a maximum security prison. Great characters, great acting, and intriguing storylines abound. Pretty addictive once you get into it and you'll have a hard time just watching one episode and then turning it off.
Anyways, just a few i'd recommend. hope that helps you out a lil' bit T!

I don't watch most new shows. But yeah, That '70s Show was one of the best comedies on TV when it was still being made.

^^^Except the last couple seasons when Topher Grace left the show. I'll admit that those seasons sucked. It's when i realized how damn annoying Wilmar Valderrama (?) and Ashton Kutcher really are.

They also replaced Lori. With a girl that wasn't good. Lori wasn't an important character, but the actress who played her was great. Trying to replace her? Bad move.

^^^^ yeah the original Lori was by far better than the generic blonde they replaced her with.

They got her replacement from a factory. The sort of Keira Knightley / Natalie Portman / Kate Beckinsale factory of look-a-likes. Make 'em blonde, and you can't tell one apart from another.

Yeah, for a side character, I didn't really notice how vital the original Lori was until they replaced her. I also didn't like when they added that creton Seth Meyer, from Saturday Night Live, to the cast when Topher left. Thankfully the 'Red' and 'Hyde' characters were still available. Kept the series somewhat watchable.
