I have a bunch of obscure 80's slasher flicks in my collection, many of which are hard to come by. I mostly get them off of internet sites.
I'd recommend fleshwoundvideo.com for finding these seemingly lost oddities of cinema.

After checking around Amazon.com and the like, either my DVD of Anchor Bay's Phenomena or Image's Shivers is the most expensive out of print disc. I believe Phenomena is more out of print. So... that's probably my rarest.

I bought it in 2002 for $26.something. And it's still my favorite Argento movie.

It took me a looong time to find a VHS copy of Secrets In The Attic, which is this really bad, cheesy kid's horror movie from 1994. I used to watch it as a kid and never could find a copy for myself because it was made exclusively for the rental market. I finally found a copy on Amazon.com and I was so happy. ;D

The NC-17 rated versions of 'Beyond the Valley of the Dolls' and 'Black Snake.' Both had very limited production runs and were never originally sold in the U.S.
Copy of 'There's a Girl in my Soup' signed personally by Goldie Hawn (thanks Sis!)

After checking Amazon.com, those MGM Midnite Movies DVD's are DROPPING LIKE FLIES. Everything released before 2004 is now desperately out of print. Except Killer Klowns from Outer Space, I think (I pray!). So now, it's possible that any one of those discs I own might be worth a small fortune.

I guess the rarest DVD in my collection is the Synapse release of Deadbeat At Dawn. It's probably not really rare yet, but it's out of print now, so in a few years it probably will be. I wish they would do another release and include the Van Bebber phone calls to them, as a special feature. Those were funny as hell, but they took them off their site after the DVD went out of print. I really don't see what Van Bebber's problem with the DVD was either. It's pretty much flawless.
