Are You Afraid of the Dark is actually available on DVD from Canada (I think the first season and then a collection of episodes from all seasons). I've been thinking of ordering it if I can find a site that will ship to the US, since Canadian dvds are still region 1. ;D ^^^ I might be able to help you with finding a site that'll ship to the U.S. I had the same problem a few years back trying to find a site that'd ship me the TRUE Canadian version DVD of Ginger Snaps (which is literally 1000 times superior to any version sold in the U.S.). I remember that after about 3 days of searching I came across some no-name Canadian site that had it in stock and was willing to ship it to me here in the states (I think it costed me an extra 20 bucks or so though ). I've switched cpu's twice since then though, so I don't have the bookmark handy. I'll rack my memory banks and if I can remember what the site was, I'll let ya know.

^^^^ Okay, lucky for you I'm paranoid and keep just about every receipt I've ever attained from using my credit cards. I dug out the P.O. from when I ordered my copy of the Canadian Collector's Edition of Ginger Snaps. I went to the site to see if they have anything for "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" and they do! It's a sealed box set of all 7 seasons (18 DVD's/91 episodes). It's region free so it'll play on whatever DVD player you own. I know they're telling the truth about that 'cuz I've gone there before to buy hard to find foreign films that will play here in the U.S. Apparently there's a handful of independent companies that buy the rights to produce a limited number of region free versions of popular foreign tv/movies and this is one of the few sites that stockpiles them for retail sale. Anyways, enough of my blathering, here's the link if you're ever interested in picking the box set up: www.dvddonkey.com/movie/children/Are_You_Afraid_Of_The_Dark.htmlHope that helps you out!

I got drug into Suncoast yesterday and I decided to pick up "The Royal Tenenbaums." It's one of my favorite comedies and I've been meaning to pick it up for some time now.

I like that movie too. I have it on VHS taped off HBO or one of those channels. I should upgrade to DVD soon.

It's worth picking up. You get some bonus "artwork" from both Margot (Paltrow) and the crazy stuff on Owen Wilson's wall.

Black Snake Moan. You've got a steel chain with Sam Jackson on one end, and Christina Ricci on the other. Overall, it's pretty good.

I just downloaded the Anchor Bay DVD release (2001) of Argento's Suspiria. Apparently it's a 3 disc edition. Looks like it's got a 52 minute documentary with cast/crew interviews, a couple of trailers, and some television and radio spots. But what really got me excited is Disc 3. It has a 32 page booklet of still/production photos, an additional interview with Jessica Harper, nine 5x7 lobby card reproductions, and the Original CD Sountrack by Goblin! Oh happy day! ;D

There's a 3-disc edition? I have the dinky single disc release with the blue cover. It still has some extras but nothing substantial like that.

^Yeah, my computer kind of sucks so it would probably be best not to download big things like movies. Thanks for the link. I just ordered it. Here's to hoping it arrives with everything intact. ;D

Just returned from Best Buy and got the new 2-disc edition of The Shining. I don't have the chance to watch it just yet but the extras sound promising. ;D
