I just ordered a few last night: Wolfen (1981, Warner Bros), Cat's Eye (1985, Warner Bros), and Bones (2001, New Line).
And now I'm in a serious dilemma. I don't know what to order next. I have allowed myself $25 more to spend (basically) and here are my options... maybe you guys could help me choose:
Mario Bava Collection 1 (Anchor Bay) (Black Sunday, Black Sabbath, The Girl Who Knew Too Much, Knives of the Avenger, and Kill Baby Kill)
That will be my $25 altogether (plus $2 for s&h) - but I might not like Mario Bava, I've never seen any of his movies. And I've heard some of them don't even have English audio.
Also in my cart I have:
Picnic at Hanging Rock (197?) John Carpenter's In the Mouth of Madness (1994) Slugs (1987) Squirm (197?) Warlock (1990) The Doctor and the Devils (1985) Drive In Double Feature: Initiation (1984)/Mountaintop Motel Massacre (1986) and The Hunger (1983)

I haven't bought any DVD's for quite some time. I believe the last one I picked up was 'Idiocracy.' I download and burn probably 3 - 6 movies a week though. The only way I'll really buy a DVD anymore is if the movie is quite exceptional and I'm interested in viewing the commentary/special features, or it's a film that's somewhat rare and I don't have any other choice.

You know... burning is kind of like stealing. And that's kind of like a crime.
What sort of movies do you burn? Big mainstream studio ones or the low budget ones?

Right now, I'm thinking I'm going to go with Picnic at Hanging Rock. Because it's an older Criterion disc and you never know when one of those is going to vanish into oblivion forever. But I'm not dead-set in stone yet.

Well, I made up my mind. I'll try to get Picnic next time (hope it's still there!). I caved and ordered: Mommie Dearest (every gay man my age has to own a copy of this one), Slugs ('cause it was cheap), and...
SQUIRM!
That's right, I ordered it. And I'm not sorry, either.

Last DVD I bought was Strange Things Happen At Sundown. For anyone who hasn't seen it, it's everything Innocent Blood, should have been. It does drag somewhat, but I still highly recomend it.

I liked it, but it left something to be desired. I guess I expect that when you have gangsters, and vampires in the same film, there should be a total blood bath. Marie was a lot more likeable for a vampire than any of the ones in Strange Things Happen at Sundown. Sexier too.

Well, I don't give a damn about gangsters in movies. In fact, usually gangster movies are lame and completely drag. But Landis makes gangsters funny. And if I'm going to have to sit there and watch that sort of thing for 2 hours, I would hope it's as entertaining as Innocent Blood was.

Ok, so I totally just hit my local Movie Stop and bought Halloween: 25 Years of Terror. I haven't watched it yet but I'm looking forward to it. ;D I also picked up Savannah Smiles, because I remembered watching it as a kid.

Halloween: 25 Years of Terror is an amazing documentary on the series. If you're a Halloween fan, there's no way you won't fall in love with it. It's extremely in-depth, detailing the production of all the Halloween movies, and there are tons of interviews with just about everyone involved with the series.
I highly, highly recommend you watch it as soon as possible!
