I'm ignoring Dread Central, because their review of Family Man was clearly off the mark. Well, Eater... hmmm. In technical terms, it was better than Sacrifice, Sickness, and Spooked. But it had a lot of problems, in my opinion. And that ending was bullshit. Did anyone else know exactly what was under that bag covering that body's face? Then, the story about the female cop facing the adversity of sexism was heaped on us early and nothing was done with it. The CGI was completely overdone- I was starting to think they weren't in an above-ground police station but instead that they were in a submarine! Water everywhere, tsk tsk. And then- that ending. What the fuck was that? He kills her then she kills him. But not before he mutilates her. What kind of movie was this supposed to be? Were we supposed to be shocked that the main character was being taken apart like this? It wasn't shocking, it was stupid. If you have a thriller movie set-up and thriller movie music, you don't suddenly slip into torture movie mode. But that's Stuart Gordon for you, always doing the wrong thing. I'm starting to think I underestimated Dreams in the Witch House just because it had a better ending! And it was terrible. The one really good thing about Eater was the music. Everything else was either cliche or a cop-out.

I agree the episode wasn't too bad. It just failed outright.
But Dread Central was wrong about Family Man and they clearly said Eater was better than it was just because Stuart Gordon directed it. Poorly.

yes they were wrong about family man in my opinion too, but hey thats why everyone has there own opinion, either way eater was prob my second fav behind family man
family man - good
sacrifice eater - ok
spooked the wedding one - terrible
thats how i rate them so far

That's sort of how I would rate them too. Except Spooked was clearly the worst. Yeah Sickness was more boring, but it was better made than Spooked. Eater wasn't bad outright until the ending. And everyone knows an ending can DOOM a movie.

My list would go:
Family Man Sacrifice / In Sickness and in Health Eater (they really just broke my most important rules, don't change your kind of movie at the end, don't take advantage of a main character for no good reason, and don't throw in misogynistic content just because you think it's shocking) and Spooked

what did you hate so much about the ending, how did they change the movie??? do you mean because instead of ripping her heart out he want all vampire style on her and chewed her neck and face

No.
Because first the movie/episode is about how all the cops treat her like just a girl and talk shit about her because she's a woman. And there just happens to be a cannibal killer around. So, then they make the movie into Shocker / Child's Play - killer uses voodoo to switch into other people's bodies. What does he do to her while in the guys' bodies? He looks at her pervertedly, makes slightly-veiled passes at her (perhaps with an "I'll eat you sometime" undertone), and corners her against walls and cells breathing down her neck.
That's one kind of movie. All standard creep-out horror with themes of perversion or voyeurism (not because anyone's peeping, but like: stalker-horror, guys who stalk victims and use their physical traits to creep people out / Freddy Krueger did that in Nightmare 4: The Dream Master). But the ending changes the movie and turns it into an exploitation-torture film by having him viciously attack and mutilate her while the music says she has a chance to get away. Does she? No. They're playing this as though it were 2 different things at the same time.
But we've already seen enough movies where women are tortured to death and killed. They copped out. They said- "fuck the story" and "fuck the main character." They threw away all our investment in the way the movie had been up to that point and decided- "eh, let's just break her limbs and slice her to pieces." My rule is you can't change the movie just because you think your "new" ending is shocking. Especially not when they're just falling back on stupid exploitation / torture cliches.

in my opinion masters of horror was the best anthology show in the history of TV and fear itself (SO FAR) is one of the worst

I agree - not great compared. But then I haven't really checked out the second season. ehh i dont really agree with all that but thats your opinion so im not gonna pull a laz and go crazy, i just didnt know why he ripped everyones hearts out but for her he bite her apart, but its just a show, its made for entertainment, no need to dig to deep into it T - you don't know what entertainment is. You think everyone is entertained by the same things and that we all have no intelligence. Like you.

or not, you are the one that thinks we all have to like the same things, i have said plenty of times we all have our own opinions, seriously what the fuck are you even talking about

you are the one that thinks we all have to like the same things That's you what you wish I thought. That way you could win this little war you started. Blah blah blah. YOU'RE boring. And I don't care about your need to feel like you're winning something. I have said time and again, opinions are one thing. Facts are another. I don't have to like Dawn of the Dead for one of the versions of that movie to be a classic, epic film. I can like it or dislike it. But it's still a classic. I have no control over it. And neither do you. Same goes for any classic (that's just an example). If you understood the genre better, I wouldn't have to explain these things to you. i have said plenty of times we all have our own opinions Yeah. And you're right. But you don't always know what is and is not an opinion. An opinion starts with: I THINK. Or ends with: IN MY OPINION. Get it yet, genius?

no it doesnt, any feelings you have about a movie is opinion Get it yet, genius?

no it doesnt, any feelings you have about a movie is opinion Correct. But I don't always share feelings. And not everything I say is an opinion or feeling. If I told you Stan Winston died - is that a feeling? Is that an opinion? Nope. Hence, why you'll never have enough brain power to be considered a genius.

no thats not an opinion, but is that what im talking about?? no
you have said numerous times that a movie was good and acted as if it was a fact, you just love to twist words, you either do it just to try to be an annoying know it all or you are really just a complete borderline retarted moron

I think you're the complete borderline retarded moron - you certainly act like it. But you just can't handle the fact that I know horror better than you do. It's nothing to get upset about, okay? It's just one of those things we can't control or change, no matter how much we wish we could. You don't have to throw a fit. Be calm, let it all out, okay? Breathe in... breathe out. Everything's going to be just fine.
I'm trying to help you here. I'm giving you all this knowledge and wisdom for free. And you resent it? You little ingrate!
