What is your favorite episode? Mine is Cigarette Burns with Imprint coming in second.

I don't really have a favorite. There were scenes in Dance of the Dead that I like better than most of the other episodes. I loved the opening to Incident On and Off a Mountain Road too.
Sick Girl was the best film/episode - hands down.
But if I had to pick my very favorite, I'd probably go with Cigarette Burns as well.

Hey Laz, what did you like about Fair Haired Child? I don't know. It wasn't really my favorite episode. But I did like that it was very stylish. It is in the top 2 episodes of the entire series that I've seen. But it's because : A) the style and production values, B) the acting (especially William Samples and Lori Petty who are amazing in their roles, slaying the quality of the actors from all other episodes after Sick Girl and Cigarette Burns), C) everything else was on perfect form. The writing, editing, art design, camerawork, you name it. Almost everything about the episode was perfect.

I thought that Homecoming had some real emotion behind it. Sick Girl was great because I have a fetish for Misty Mundae. I thought that Heakel's(whatever) Tale had an awesome story behind it.

Sick Girl was the best film/episode of the series. No question. Everything was right.
Homecoming was dull. I wanted more radical social stuff behind it. It was way too jaded. The only scene I thought had emotion in it was the scene with the black couple at the diner. The rest of it was, in the words of the writer of the film/episode Sam Hamm, "sappy" and "sentimental." I think that's what he said (in his Audio Commentary). I don't feel like the film presented any threat to the people at large. I would have preferred if the zombies attacked innocent people AFTER the 2012 election scene near the end where Kathy "made the call." And if they had gotten rid of that horrible "friend or foe?" backstory thing. I'm a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment and I hate seeing this anti-Iraq War film get mixed up with an anti-gun violence piece. The two things should be separate.
Haekel's Tale was also boring. But I loved the little twist at the end. The Miz Carnation thing at the end. I did NOT see that coming. I feel the same way a reviewer I read did describing the film/episode - there's nothing scary about zombies fucking and a dead zombie-baby has already been done before.

Nothing about Sick Girl was dumb or boring. You didn't watch it properly. Seriously - watch it again. I promise you - you will see the genius of it. If you're smart, you'll see it.
Season 2 was different than Season 1. Because there was a lot less art to it. Less work on production design and set design and art design. More focus on technology, quick cutting, high definition equipment. Season 1 was cooler, all around. No question about that. Season 1 was better. Because even the worst film/episode of the season (clearly Dreams in the Witch-House) had something about it that was amazing. The music score. Each film/episode had something great. The worst films/episodes of Season 2...they were worse. And even the best from Season 2 can't compare to the best of Season 1.
Do you have any examples of how you think Season 2 was better? Any comparisons between 1 film from Season 1 to a/the film(s) from Season 2?

^^ i just liked more episodes from season 2
pro-life like i said was great fun and it actually had a meaning to it..
pelts was good gory fun
screwfly solution was pretty good but could have been great had it been a feature length film
right to die was amazing.. felt like a tales from the crypt episode
family- like i have said it was one of my fav episodes
all the other were either ok or bad... still havent seen the v word yet
now when you talk about season 1 having better production and art and stuff that all might be true but season 1 just bored the hell out of me
deer women was great my fav from season 1
imprint was fucking weird as hell but pretty good and im not even a miike fan
pick me up was highly entertaining
sick girl liek i said started good but i thought it got kinda dumb
homecoming i thought was pretty good.. at least watchable
incident on and off of mountain road- (i think that was the name of it) was also watchable but it was really nothing new
fair haired child was a huge letdown for me.. it may have been made well but it was highly predictable and just plain boring
all the other are either not worth mentioning or i havent seen
as a side note the ones i havent seen were Haekel's Tale , Dreams in the Witch-House and the one with robert englund.. i forget the name

Dance of the Dead^^^ I love the tunes and settings and the leading lady so...worth a watch. My only complaint with Pro-Life was the look of the demon.(I thought it was an old Corman piece.)

The demon was CGI? Never knew that. Now I do. NO ONE could have topped Ron Perlman in that role either. The "abortion" scene did its job as well.(pretty uncomfortable) Bonus points for ending and spider-baby.

Dance of the Dead was one of my favorites from the first season.
The only thing that I didn't like... well, 2 things. 1 was Peggy's Mother. She was a terrible actress ("LIYYYYYYAAAAAARRRRR!!!!!) and can't sing.
And... The movie actually has a really well built up "horror" vision of the future. Everything is fairly desolate and burnt out. And the work with the characters being so angry and ugly and mean and depraved and crazy and whatever... I bought it. It was very convincing. The editing was great. The music was amazing. But- then we get to the club and see the big "Show" that everyone wants to see... Corpses Dancing. That's it. It's supposed to be disturbing because they're being poked with those electro-shock cattle-prods, so they're being tortured like animals, since they can't talk and don't act like people because they're zombies. But it wasn't disturbing and it didn't strike me as sad either. The zombies were just pale, hairless naked-people. They weren't even partially rotten. They were basically... "retarded" people with weird eyes.
Season 2 is just a really bad joke altogether.

It is part of my collection. Good gore and supporting cast(Corbin Bernson and the main character's wife). When they are washing down the body halfway-through...uggh! 7/10

True enough. Which had the better skinning: Pelts or Right to Die?
I love when Corbin Bernsen says " I'm a lawyer.What do I know about a soul?!"

i would have to go right to die..as gory as pelts got the gore was actually pretty fake looking most of the time
as for the Washingtonians its actually not that bad.. not the best but not one of the worst either.. it kinda plays itself out as a black comedy except its not funny.. its certainly not an episode you are supposed to take serious..i would say its worth a viewing tho.. i bought it and was not dissapointed
