Well - I was a fat kid. Thanks to the TEASING of a bunch of goddamned jerks who thought my pain was FUNNY, I will be fucked up for life. And you want to know something? I lost the weight without trying. Some people just feel a natural change in their eating habits and lose the weight as they get older. I didn't even have to do what I did. But peer pressure made my high school years a private living hell. I even tried to kill myself several times in my early high school years (and I was 13 in my freshman year, while most freshmans are 14 on average), thanks to my weight problem being part of that. I have permanent cut marks on my wrist.
Do you know now why I take some things kinda seriously? Because I went through hell. And I lived through it. Thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands of American kids aren't so lucky. Hundreds of people die from eating disorders, low self-esteem related suicides, and becoming delinquents because of peer pressure.
I would not want people to look at pictures of me and decide I should die, that I'm not worth anything, that I'm a hick (because I wore redneck clothes), or a pedophile just because of my physical characteristics, or a hoople or whatever. So I expect people are going to think like that before they make stupid judgments just based on pictures. Especially since you guys might be luckier than I was. If you have less to complain about, you should be a lot more sensitive! Not less.
And not everyone can do the same things. Not everyone lives the same lives.

well what you gotta realize is first we are just trying to have fun..you are taking things that we say and making them personal..i made the gay comment one time and you flipped..that had nothing to do with you..i could care less what you are..gay or straight its not gonna change my view on you..and then here dave stated he was fat..he didnt say all fat guys are pedophiles..i dont think any1 in the world is dumb enough to think that..and lastly i dont go up to fat people and make fun of them..thats a pretty weak thing to do..if i saw a bunch of guys picking on a fatty if anything id try and help the fat guy out..theres a difference between having fun and making fun of people from there pictures or with a group of friends..and then going out and actually hurting some1

dave stated he was fat..he didnt say all fat guys are pedophiles.. I don't care what he meant or what he meant to say: he said "the guy's fat so he's a pedophile." Meaning, if a man is fat, he's a pedophile. That's what he said. If he didn't mean to say it, he has to state it differently.

He's a fat, disgusting middle-aged male sitting topless (or nude) on a computer
that is what he said..he was just listing everything about the guy..so was dave saying
every fat man is a pedo
every middle aged man is a pedo
every disgusting man is a pedo
and every man without a shirt sitting at a comp is a pedo
absolutly not..there is a time where you have to use common sense and know what he meant..everything about that picture screams pedophile..you knew he didnt mean every fat man is a pedo so stop acting that way

First off, quit singing your sob story like some Dateline "exclusive" story. You're not going to guilt me into apologizing for something that I didn't say - and you blew completely out of proportion.
Secondly, I'm genuinely sorry if people picked on you. That's not cool. But what do you want? A medal? Get over yourself, you're not the first person to be picked on, and you won't be the last. Instead of sitting around sulking with a "victim" mentality, why don't you use it as motivation to go out in the world and prove all those idiots wrong?

First off, quit singing your sob story like some Dateline "exclusive" story. You're not going to guilt me into apologizing I don't care what you do or think. If you feel guilty, that's your problem. If you don't, I couldn't care less. What I said about myself had nothing to do with you. You're not involved. what do you want? A medal? Get over yourself, you're not the first person to be picked on, and you won't be the last. Instead of sitting around sulking with a "victim" mentality, why don't you use it as motivation to go out in the world and prove all those idiots wrong? Where do you think the world is? Everywhere is the world. And I'm not sulking- I'm just asking that you be less judgmental with EVERY SINGLE PERSON that doesn't fit into your tiny little mold of cool and/or acceptable. You take way too many potshots at people when you have just as many flaws as they do! Even moreso if you actually think you're better than any of these people. Which is why you have to keep calling them all these stupid names that nobody would even respond to "out in the world"- they'd raise an eyebrow. Because not everyone is this hip-talking nerdy slang-using MST3K geek like you seem to be. If that's not you, show a different side to your personality. 'Cause you could use a new one!

You know exactly why you brought it up. You thought that I'd feel bad for making light of a fatty if you came out with your little sob story. Wrong! I don't get manipulated into apologizing for things I never said. It's not my job, or anybody elses to fill any personal voids you have emotionally. Everyone is responsible for their own lot in life. Get over it.

You know exactly why you brought it up. I brought it up to show how idiotic, small-minded, and compassionless you are. You'll change your tune when it's you who's on the chopping block, down on your luck... Or you'll change religion. Remember this, years from now, you'll be just as pathetic as all those people you hate! Because this is how it starts, they all think they're so high above it, kicking dirt in other people's faces thinking you're not vulnerable... then you're humbled by the same things you thought never affected you. It's not my job, or anybody elses to fill any personal voids you have emotionally. It's not MY job or anyone else's to make you feel like you're so tough and sharp in your shoddy, pencil-thin character assumptions. Oh wow, you think you're so tough. I CAN SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU! You're doing this to make yourself look big but you couldn't possibly look smaller.

2 questions:
1. Why do you assume that my life is so easy?
2. What color is the sky on your planet?

Why do you assume that my life is so easy? I don't. That's the point. If you're going to assume things about other people, they're going to assume things about you. Don't do things to other people you don't want them doing to you. And it seems like you're trying to say we all live the same way. We don't. If we did, we would probably never argue or disagree about anything. Everyone would live, think, and feel the same.

I don't think everybody lives the same way. I'm much smarter than that. All I'm saying is people need to quit expecting everyone else to drop what they're doing and come feel sorry for them. Some problems you can control, some you can't. Either way, it's up to the individual to make a conscious decision to get over it and move on. After a certain amount of grieving time a person can decide to let it go, no matter how unfair, and move on and try to make a life for themselves that makes them happy. I'm not trying to say that we shouldn't feel empathy, I'm just saying we shouldn't coddle that person and make them think it's okay to just give up on the future because of something that happened in the past.

All I'm saying is people need to quit expecting everyone else to drop what they're doing and come feel sorry for them. That's pretty god damned arrogant. You equate people asking for understanding with people pushing you around?? In response to the rest of your post, still arrogant but at least a little more agreeable - why the hell do you think people are out there fighting for rights? Fighting for the future? If everyone thought like you, the cycle of abuse can happen to more people, even kids just starting out now! You still only see yourself on this issue. You've only considered your needs. You can't just say what's good enough for you is good enough for everyone else. Do you think the way it is now is the way it's always been? You have more opportunities now because of the people who came before you. That's what I'm talking about. How hard is it to agree with that? Stop pretending like you're the only one that matters. It sure looks like that's what you're doing. Since most of what you're doing is complaining that people wanting more rights ANNOYS you. Well, through all of your complaining... I don't feel sorry for you at all.

No, as I've stated a hundred times now, I have no problem with people having equal rights. I do have a problem with people receiving special treatment. How can I make that any clearer to you? You're completely missing my point.

Post by lazario on Sept 23, 2007 7:55:02 GMT -5
And like I've said a hundred times now - PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE EQUAL RIGHTS RIGHT NOW, which is why SPECIAL TREATMENT exists! It's a way of EQUALING the rights people don't have.
If you actually know the way of the world, you understand that people don't have equal rights.

I understand that people don't always have equal rights. I'm just disagreeing with you about why they have special treatment. I can't say it anymore plain that that.
